  1. Hey Guys, Thank you very much, it works writing to you from the freshly upgraded PC You are the besst
  2. will try this now... Thanks for your support guys, i will report when finished...
  3. Hmm... When we got the MB, it posted with the same PSU, CPU, Ram etc... now it doesn't, wich is my problem... we didn't do anything in the BIOS, haben't overclocked any component... but suddently it refuses to post... Now to the point of not enough power: the system has a 650 Watt PSU, and even when powering the GPU with a second PSU (MB+CPU on the 650 Watt PSU and GPU on my 600 Watt) it will not post...
  4. What component is missing power? When we first assembled the PC with the new Motherboard, it posted, with the same PSU, CPU, GPU... Now, when removing everything exept for ram, cpu, mainbord and GPU, it won't post...
  5. Hey guys, About two month ago i build a rig for my sister, sporting a FX 8300 on an old ASRock mainbord. We installed a used Nvidea 650 that she got from a friend, with the aim to upgrade to my ASUS r9 380 Strix when i got my RX 480 Nitro. One month ago, i went on a two week trip, and thinking "well she could have my card in her rig for the time" i put my 380 into her rig, just to be greeted by an beepcode saying that the vram was malfunctioning. But in my rig it works still perfectly... so i thought, well the Mainboard&BIOS might be so old (from 2009 or something like that) that it can't handle the 4gb of vram... So we got the new ASRock AM3+ Board, that was released this year. we mounted the processor, ram and the r9 380 and looked, if it woulod post, in order to check if the new MB would work with the card. And it worked... Today, after putting the just arrrived RX480 in my rig i wanted to upgrade hers to the r3 380. Well, this time i got just 5 short beep, meaning that the CPU had a problem... but after putting the 650 back in, it worked fine with the Nvidea card... I hope someone can help me getting her rig to work with the r9 380... greets JD_Tiger
  6. hmm... yep turning the graphics down might help... *dumb* Thanks
  7. 66°C CPU 63°C GPU 44° inside case the problem is with the graphicscards fans spinning at 2540 RPM to hold the temp...
  8. Hey Guys, Its me again I noticed quite the heat buildup in my system (nothing critical, but still the fan noise is not very apprecheated at all ). I thought of two ways to tnagle this problem: A: reducing max. Load on CPU&GPU to 80-90% B: pause folding periodically (like 55min full power, 5min pause 55min power) I think both ways would make it easyier for the casefans to blow the hot air out of the case, but i have no idea/found nothing on google/ found nothing in F@H settings that helps me, so i ask you I hope someone will have the right idea, Until then Greets from Germany JD_Tiger
  9. I'd strongly suspect this not to work, because i have 2 monitors on that card and both go black stating "no signal" Well since 5 hours no crash, GPU worked whole time.... I'll post something here if I have this problem agian... What do I think fixed it? removing the GPU-Core and readding it to the cores list....
  10. Hey guys, I just started F@H yesterday, an it worked fine the whole evening, but when i started my Computer today and engaged F@H, my screens go black, but sound for example continues... The Strix runs on standart configs, so no overclocking, but i beefed the coolingfan speed up quite a bit, so that it wont go over ~50-60°C under continuus full load. So, i have no idea what happens, since i let my system fold in the Background while gaming, wich worked just fine yesterday... For now i removed my GPU from F@H's cores tab, so that it will not fold and make the system crash, but the ppd has obviously taken an enormous hit, since i fold with the Athlon X4 860K on Stock speed alone... I hope someone has an idea how i can make the GPU fold again without letting my system black out. Greets JD_Tiger
  11. Hello guys, I followed Linus holiday buyersguide 2015 and found out, that my graphicscard covered the SATA connectors on the mainboard. because of that, I searched around a bit, and found 2 candidates, but i don't know wich one to buy. As you may have noticed from the title, the contestants are the MSI 7793-037R and the ASRock FM2A88X PRO+. I hope someone can help me with determinig wich one is better suited for my rig. I need to put in a PCI-E Wificard and, obviously, connect a SSD and a HHD to the Mainboard. As CPU-Cooler I chose an Artic Cooling Freezer A11. Greets from germany, JD_Tiger
