  1. So I'm running 2 1080s in my system, and this has been an issue for ehh a month or two or so now, but when I turn SLI off, often times, but not always, the displays will not turn back on, and I'll have to reboot, I've reinstalled drivers several times (and have had to recently reset windows due to a botched Anniversary Update) any idea what this could be?
  2. I'm currently running a 4790k but ever since I got my dual 1080s I've had bottle necking issues when streaming over 720p, so I'm looking at the 6800k+ But I'd like at least the 6850k for the PCI-E lanes.
  3. So I'm trying to decide what CPU I'll end up getting since I am forced, sadly, tog et a new one in the next month or so, and I was wondering since I stream basically every game I play through nowadays, is there anything to gain going a 6900k over a 6850k, sadly it's between these two CPUs due to the PCI-E Lanes so the 6800k is out of the question. :<
  4. So from my stream testing it seems without a doubt to be a bottleneck, 100%ing at 1080p almost instantly and at 900p, temps are fine though. oh well. I'll probably still keep the 4790k around and use it in another build, don't wanna just get rid of it.
  5. I don't believe so, I'll say for sure during my next stream tonight, I'll have RT open, but I'm almost positive it isn't since I just swapped coolers because my h80i wasn't functioning properly anymore so I went back to air cooling with an NH-D15 and so far haven't had noticeable issues.
  6. Oh wow yeah looking at the benchmarks it's so marginal there's no reason in getting the 6850k, thanks mate.
  7. no I'm sure I didn't. Also I use wired since I bought my modem specifically to be right next to my pc. I have also seen a lot more high CPU usage messages since the GPU upgrade. I suppose I could try testing OBS see if it's maybe just an issue with Xsplit but I highly doubt that. It just seems like a CPU issue to me.
  8. http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5521260543 11.8 up, which wouldn't be the issue since it's the same as I've had from arizona(ish) to here in Oklahoma, and my old rig was while I was here and able to run 1080p30 fine, at least I wouldn't think it is.
  9. It's been mostly losing a decent amount of frames, and I can't stream over 720p30 anymore without getting crazy frame fluctuation ever since I installed my 2 1080s. My previous rig was a 290x.
  10. So I've been having troubles with my 4790k (specifically while streaming since I made my dual 1080 rig) and I'm looking into just getting an X99 and a 6850k, is that a good choice? Is it a good processor?
  11. I'm just bringing it up because it's pretty impressive from Nixeus, but yeah I love it it's great.
  12. Really I play anything. One day I may be playing Overwatch or crysis, one day I may be playing through Witcher or a 2D game. Or even some league. And yeah I was looking at the predator, it seems like a really good monitor. Oh also I forgot, it's also got full range freesync 30-144fps
  13. Honestly, I love it, the main reason I got it back when I did was for a cheap freesync monitor (my old setup was a 290x) and it made me fall in love with the tech.
  14. So, currently I'm running a 1080p freesync monitor with 2 1080s, and now that I actually have money I'm looking into upgrading to a 1440p monitor, now I really like adaptive sync technologies, but I have trouble justifying the price of Gsync, and I also really like 144hz monitors, but anything of at least 100 works, any ideas of good monitors? Size isn't a factor either since I'm reworking my setup completely in a few weeks when I move to a new place.
  15. After using a closed loop cooler for ~2 years, I can safely say I don't want to do it again. It has given me issues to no end, so I got the NH-D15, and I am honestly amazed at how far air cooling has come in the past two years, this is comparable to my H80i without question using just one fan.
