  1. I rebuilt a friends Pc for him as he got a new Processor (9700k), new ram (GSKILL Trident Z), and a new mobo( Asus Z390E). After booting it has been having issues with booting from his old hard deives and only going to the Bios. He already had windows 10 installed on the old drives. The rebuilding process was simple with swapping out mobo's, fans and the like. I don't understand what the issue could be, this system was fine before the rebuild. Additionally, his 2070 is not giving the monitor a signal from any of its ports while the cpu graphics is. This was also working completely fine before. I'd like any tips for troubleshooting you may have as he leaves town for college in a couple days.
  2. I'm in a position where I can save up some money to upgrade my GPU. I have an R9 380 atm and want to upgrade for Cyberpunk next year. I'm not exactly sure what I should be aiming for (1080 v.s. 2080). I've seen a bunch of fluctuations in the prices of the 1080 from $700-$1k. Should I try to get a 1080 or 2080 and what price should I be looking for?
  3. My friend had me make a list of parts he could buy so he wouldnt need to worry about performance when he decided to get it. He's finally gotten around to it but we checked and there are almost no gtx 1080/ti's that are either in stock or at a normal price. Do we just have to sit and wait? Or do we look for a different card? Or am I just looking in the wrong places? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zmZt8K
  4. Im looking for a 1080p monitor thats good for a triple monitor setup, 21.5 to 24 inches mainly (anything bigger is too much for me). Theres a lot of choices currently and id like to narrow it down. The one im looking at right now is the "Acer GN246HL 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor". Thoughts? And if theres something youd think id be better with please link it. P.s. this is going in a future build i want: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Y42h2R
  5. Would it be better to render with my CPU or GPU in Sony Vegas Pro 13 (which would be faster). I render videos into 720p 60fps. My CPU is a Core i5-4460 and my GPU is an R9-380. the rest of my system http://pcpartpicker.com/list/mcPD3F
  6. I just got my mobo in the mail. It is the MSI B85-E45. Is it safe to take it out of the static bag to look at it then put it back in the static bag and the box? or what way should I put the mobo back in the box. Im a newbie at parts and stuff
  7. No I saw on CM's webiste tht the 212 evo will support skylake.
  8. My friend needs 1.5 to 2tb of storage in his computer. He will be downloading a lot of games from places like steam and will also have video files from fraps so they will be large. Should he get 2x1tb WD Blues, 1x 2tb wd blue, or a 1tb wd blue with some ssd's. He wants decent speed and dosent mind regular 7200rpm drives instead of ssd's. If you think ssd's what type should he have that dosent break the bank but still offers good performance. Pcpartpicker list http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rCwXgs
  9. I'm stuck between these two cards for my first build. I've look at tons and tons of benchmarks between the cards and can't seem to choose. I'll be playing modern titles like The Witcher 3, and Gta v. I will also be video editing in Sony Vegas Pro 13 and using Blender. Here is the full list of parts in my build and the two cards. https://pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-100384nt4goc2l https://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp43967kr http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Wfbxyc
  10. I am making a list for my friend and need tips on the motherboard. Some preferences - at least 6 usb ports maximum of $150 4 ram slots (ddr3) Atx preferably but micro atx is fine Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/TYdYVn
