DutchTexan got a reaction from WereCat in Time to replace my 1080 TI?
Really happy with the 7800x3d. I’ve decided to return the 16GB 4070 ti and for another $100 ($900 total) I ordered a 24GB XFX merc310 RX 7900 XTX. I think that’s a better value and a much better pairing with the CPU.

Ultra max settings 1440p gaming just one step away!

I have a 8 year old predator monitor that’s 1440p IPS panel with 4ms response time. I love the color. Not sure if 4ms is ridiculous by todays standards?

Or stay in a hole and then be blown away by how things have moved on to the point where you feel like you got a great deal no matter what😂

I wouldn’t have been able to believe I could get 4TB of M.2 storage with ~7,500mb/s read speeds for $335 6 years ago.

just bought all this in person. Good deal and happy pairing with a 16GB 4070ti?

Just to clarify: the use of the installation media is not linked to the activation process, so you could download your own using Microsoft's USB creator.

The only important part, is the type of license you have and Microsoft recommend that you link it to your Microsoft account so that you can use their activation troubleshooter after an upgrade.

As far as I know, you should be able to reactivate.

OEM keys get tied to the hardware they're activated on.

Retail keys can be installed on different hardware, but you can only activate one machine at a time.

Either way, you can reinstall the same edition of Windows on the same hardware and reactivate it as many times as you want.

That's not correct. If the computer undergoes drastic hardware changes, Windows will assign a different "hardware ID" to it, which causes it to lose it's activation status. It can be reactivated by just reentering the product key.

DO NOT buy a 3090. the 3080Ti outperforms it in most games due to the rear mounted memory chips.
As for is it time to replace it? Yes. They are approaching end of life. I've had two die with code 43

In new games your CPU is likely holding back even your 1080ti right now so CPU upgrade will be necessary.
I run The Last of Us Part 1 at Ultra at 1440p without any upscaling at 70-80FPS with my 6800XT so anything in that performance tier will do nicely. So something like 4070 Super or better if you want NVIDIA.
The 3090 makes no sense unless you need 24GB VRAM.

This basically limits you to laptops or tablets. Standalone touch screen monitors and a decent computer are incredibly expensive compared to a similar laptop or tablet PC. Does it need to run Windows or would Chrome OS work?

oh, I have one of those as well, love it but my hand is to big for it and the last time I shot it at the range it tore the skin off my thumb knuckle... lol, didn't feel it but it bled a lot. As an afterthought though I think a 40 or 9mm would have been a better choice that size of handgun.
    Wonderful little boot gun.

Well then, the Wilson Combat Texas BBQ Special. Only because I like the name, not the price ($5-6k, shudder). ?

The 400 is actually better suited for MSRH, my local track. It's also a lot more fun and a better tool to work on my actual riding skills/lap times.

Also, the 400 is a lot more fun(easier) to work on and a lot cheaper to get track ready. Example: a full exhaust for the Honda cost 2.2k while a full exhaust for the 400 was maybe $650.

Ah, I see. Those are nice looking but not for the price. I stuck with function over looks when I chose mine.. lol.
I do know that Les Baer is a fantastic though expsensive option. They dont have the inherent feed issue found in the original design. And they are guaranteed. Not to mention made in Iowa. The owner hand makes each one and test shoots them for accuracy and function.

All I can say is a had 2 razer nagas for over 2 years each and they were both fantastic. I used at least half of the keypad almost every day.

Wireless MMO mice, I am not knowing. I mostly use a G602 now, but the 6 buttons on the side are basically useless to me. It has worked on every surface I tired in my home though.

I own a Kimber Custom II, have had for 15 years now. Never had an issue with it. Never missed a shot with it.
The Kimber line of 1911's are some of the best in my opinion. I would have voted for it but you dont have kimber as an option.

I must ask, do you know from experience or hearsay? I've not yet run into this with mine.
