  1. Your CPU has 18% bottleneck. The cpu is to weak for the gpu. Its only an i5. No good for gaming these days
  2. Sounds like a bottleneck issue to me. Upgrade your cpu
  3. This is a Asus rog strix gtx 1060 6G OC. I upgraded from a 1050ti to this and wasnt happy that they only came in black so took the decision to have a go at spraying it with some plastidip (rubber coating). Results turned out very good and am pleased with the outcome. Just thought I'd share just because it does look quite dope I'm my opinion. Hope you also like
  4. Late reply but posting just incase the thread is seen by somebody else to have the answer. If you havnt got enough fan headers you can use a fan hub. Make sure you get one that supports the 3 or 4 pin accordingly
  5. would it be bad if i got a psu that was a very high wattage like an 850w? would it be bad to have more headroom? money isnt an issue. i want the best psu i can get that will suit
  6. Thanks for the reply @boggy77. To future proof my machine for a i7-9700k and a 2080 super down the line would you think the corsair HX850i is a good choice? would my system run fine with that amount of power as it is now? is it to big for the time being? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00MFD2JAY?tag=httpwwwcorsai-21&linkCode=osi&th=1
  7. So first thing to start off with is to tell you that my PC was a pre build when I first got it with the intentions to upgrade it down the line as I was on a tight budget at the time with no existing machine. 2 years down the line I've decided to swop out the gtx 1050ti palit single fan with a rog strix 1060 6gb OC. I used a psu calculator online to see if I would need a new one to cope with the wattage increase and all seemed well with my 600w I currently have. It is a non rated psu and dosnt have a rating stamp. E.g. 80 plus gold and so on. I've been having random crashes when under when under load where the screen shows nothing (black screen) and the system looks all fine with power everywhere, fans still spinning, lights still on but the gpu fans start running flat out. Only way to sort this is to flick the switch or hold the power button and reboot. After multiple times of effing and jeffing and scratching my head I began to presume my psu was the issue so I asked my dads friends who's an electrician to borrow his £300 high quality multi metre to check the amps and volts flowing through the cables to work out the wattage being used to see if it drops or rises when a crash happens. Non of that happened but I did notice something very strange to me. Every +12v rail on the power supply delivers 11.8 - 12.0v under idle operations (desktop, signing in screen) until I start doing some demanding tasks such as modern warfare and fortnite. The stage drops to a constant 10.9v and never goes over 11.2v with the gpu wires getting hot. I heard the +12v rail should drop over or under +11.4v - +12.6v and -10.8v - 13.6v on the negative rail. Is my psu done for with it dropping under the normal voltages or is it the GPU at fault? I'm really unsure and seeking professional help I7-2600 4.6Ghz Gtx 1060 6gb OC 16gb ddr3 ram (4x 4gb) Corsair h150i pro 3x LL120mm fans Commander pro ^ 1x 500gb samsung ssd 1x 1tb hard drive 1x 1tb nas drive
  8. Do you have a multimeter handy? Also try and remove your gpu from the system, plug your display cable into the motherboard and try to power on. If you have a multimeter you can check the voltage on each line to see what is getting power and what isnt
  9. Does it look to be slipping frames even tho it dosnt drop fps or does it just look abit blurred?
  10. By the look of things no unless you dont have enough fan headers in witch you would if you just swop out what you have in there already. This Is not an rgb fan so dosnt require an additional rgb controler hub.
  11. You say you have a 144hz monitor but are you set to be using the 144hz? I have this issue myself from time to time where windows changes it back to 60hz and I do feel the difference. Right click the desktop, click nvidea control panel, resolution menu on the left hand side and look through the options under PC to find the 144hz.
