Ok. Ill try this on my motherboard. This is greatly useful information. Thank you so much.

Set the PCIe_1 slot to 3.0, there's sometimes issues with negotiating PCIe bandwidth and/or stepping down to save power that can cause anomalies like this. Its default is 'auto', so its variable unless you specify it.

The GPU is 4.0 and your CPU supports 4.0, but your motherboard doesn't. Worth forcing 3.0 just to ensure there's no bugs potentially trying to negotiate 4.0.

I dont use RADEON software as it was causing suttering on my PC for over a year. So I had to get rid off it.

I used Riva statistics tuner instead to cap my global frame rate.

You mean the AK500? Sorry moot point but i cant help but to notice.
so 2 SSD and 1 HDD, and you need 5.25? Im doing both no 5.25 and with 5.25 to split hair.
No dimensional constrain? Ill use the liter to signify compactness then.

Since you mention dual booting… is the time off by a fixed amount of hours?

Windows expects the BIOS clock to be set to local time, while Linux will set it to UTC. Could this be the issue? There's a registry key you can set to make Windows also use UTC for the system clock (the clock on the desktop will still show local time).

    https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/System_time#UTC_in_Microsoft_Windows

Other than that, make sure automatic time synchronization (NTP) is enabled and a working server is configured for it.

Take this forum post for what it's worth - https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/dac-blind-test-no-audible-difference-whatsoever.314762/

No one in that sample was able to tell the difference between a $30 DAC and a $3000 DAC when they didn't know what it was. They COULD tell when they were told what was being done (aka placebo effect).

Allways upgrade the speakers/headphones before the dac! They will make more of a difference than anything else.

Probably not, unless your current DAC is pretty broken.

I have a hard time distinguishing between DAC's even on really expensive speakers.

i mean.. i havent heard them, but given that bluetooth is a major keyword on this set of ~ $120 speakers with a builtin amplifier.. probably not.

A dac to those all you would really be doing is ensuring a clean clear signal with no noise and neutrality.  The difference if you know what your looking for can be really noticable or if the source your comparing to just sucks and is noisy or isn't neutral

    With Speakers:
Better Speakers  THEN Improved Positioning THEN Room Treatment THEN other stuff (DAC, Amp, etc.)

    With headphones:
Better Headphones THEN Improved seating (experiment a bit) THEN other stuff (DAC, Amp, etc.)

The only real benefit from a better DAC, assuming your gear isn't defective or flawed would be more features. For the most part DACs were a solved problem 20 years ago. Since then computers got way better/cheaper. Today's cheapest DAC are better than many of the "good amps" 20 years ago at a microchip level (YMMV in terms of implementation). A $10 lighting to Aux dongle for an iPhone is "good enough" for most headphones (the amp is another story).

If you get a noticeable shift from an DAC, it means that something was defective in your chain before. With speakers, moving your head 2" one way or another will have a bigger impact than a DAC upgrade.

I would try the ROG mouse. I've simply never owned a mouse where I could replace the microswitches without having to solder and be careful with disassembly/ reassembly.

You could look into the ROG Keris too, wired and wirelss. You can hotswap the microswitches in those. They provide replacement switches in the box.

Sounds like Youtube is playing regular old 2.0 audio and D+ and Netflix is delivering you HDR audio. Check your sound bar settings for Dynamic Range and try setting it to compressed. It should keep everything closer to the same level.

I would check to make sure that the sound settings aren't messed with on Netflix or Disney. I use Netflix and I cast all my content to a Chromecast (which I realize is different) but at some point last year, the settings got changed by themselves to Dolby surround or something, which my setup is not capable of, so I was just getting zero sound at all. I would check the different options you have if that's even a possibility. It took me a while to find out where the settings were located on the app. Hopefully this helps! That's about all I can recommend.

If you took the cooler off, and returned it, without replacing the thermal paste, you introduced an air gap.

With the superior OS, Linux why would you want to downgrade to Windows?

That aside, if you're dual-booting Windows and Linux Install you need Windows first, as its too stupid to recognize that another OS is there and if its not first its unable to find itself without a lot of unnecessary work on your part. It can be done but, honestly, you probably have better things to do, like watching paint dry.

Then you can install Linux, just tell it that Windows is there, It will ask on installation. Just choose the Install Alongside option, your distribution may use different terms but you'll be able to easily determine it, and let it do its thing.

5600X should be more than enough, 5800x gaming and general task is kind of wasteful.
Unless you got a powerful GPU, the 5800x just won't do much difference when compared to 5600x.
