  1. specs: Ryzen 5 5600h 16gb RAM for some reason, hovering over the battery icon shows 4hrs of life remaining at 100% ! shouldn't it be higher? about 6hrs+ ? Im only using the browser with a couple tabs and having an office app open. I haven't even begun doing any video editing/ photo editing. Not even played any games on it yet.
  2. Ok. Ill try this on my motherboard. This is greatly useful information. Thank you so much.
  3. I reinstalled the ram and the gpu again. My system booted up normal. but man…what if this keeps happening regularly?
  4. I tried the gpu in the other pci slot. Still the same issue. the pc starts up with the bebug led itself and the motherboard backlight stays white (its what i had set up in the software) all while the gpu is connected. without the gpu it cycles throug the debug lights and they all turn off and the motherboard backlight defaults to red. My keyboard and mouse also come online. i also reset the cmos. Nothing.
  5. Dont have a spare gpu. Dont know anybody who has one. Pins couldnt possibly be bent. I was using it over two hours ago. Though I did get two blue screens for the first time in a long time. Since perhaps i reseated the cpu. It read “service exception not handled” or something like that. so i ran two commands code off an artcile . It included SFC, system file checker, i. powershell….
  6. Gpu: rx 5700xt cpu: Ryzen 7 5700x mobo: msi B450 tomahawk max, latest bios. I was having trouble out of the blue to get the system to post. The CPU led for EzDebug came on. I reseated the cpu and unplugged and plugged in the gpu again. Nothing worked. then I took the random advice of loosening the screws of the CPU cooler to reduce mobo flexing, and that solved my issue for a few days. Today my pc was running fine until half an hour ago, where I cold booted and my pc quickly turned off and on twice. It looked as if there wasnt enough voltage being delivered. The same debug LED was on. this time I only removed the GPU and my system seemed to be working on boot. The keyboard and mouse turned on. Seems like the system worked. But when i put the gpu back in, the CPU debug led came on again and nothing would happen. Black screen, no post. The gpu fans wont even spin. what do i do?
  7. I got an ASUS router. Netgear and Linksys apparently dont have good warranty support over here. ASUS has been seamless so far. I've been through over half a dozen tp-link routers. Yeah, I have witnessed the failure rates personally.
  8. Specs are the same except for the processors. They are very similar and available at quite different prices locally.
  9. RT-AX55|WiFi Routers|ASUS USA RT-AX1800HP|WiFi Routers|ASUS Global
  10. My usage is gaming, game stream broadcasting. Online a lot of the times. Have only a handful of wi-fi devices. I've been through many tp-link routers. Ideally would want more value for money.
  11. I have the following parts. Deepcool ak620 MSI B450 tomahawk max GIGABYTE RX 5700XT windforce (3x fans) Corsair vengeance 650M Full size PSU 2x SATA SSDs 1x SATA HDD They are all house in a CORSAIR 400R. I will be shifting around once a year or so. So I need to get a smaller case sooner or later. I don't want to have to buy new parts just to fit into a small case as that becomes expensive and I am happy with the current performance. Need suggestions on a smaller case which can hold all of the above parts.
  12. I dont use RADEON software as it was causing suttering on my PC for over a year. So I had to get rid off it. I used Riva statistics tuner instead to cap my global frame rate.
  13. MY gpu is crunching out 100+ fps and I just dont need the heat and other challenges that come with it. How do I lock the framerate to 60 on an AMD radeon GPU?
  14. I'm looking for suggestions. Full size atx motherboard. Deepcool ak520 cooler rx5700xt full size atx power supply 3 internal drives including one hdd. I want a smaller case than my current Corsair 400R. Dimensions (521mm x 206mm x 503mm) it has optical drive bays and the front hdd cage which I suppose could be done without only if I can move the storage elsewhere. I think modern cases have those options. A small footprint is very important for me.
  15. Ok, so the BIOS time was off. Will see if things work out this time. You were right about UTC and local time.
  16. Ever since Windows Vista. Now I'm running windows 11 and I have to go in to settings every other day to sync the time. There is no issue with my CMOS, as two of my Ubuntu drives in the system run fine and keep the time without having me to sync them at all on the same system. How on earth do I fix the time for Windows 11?
  17. WD Blue, 1tb. Purchased around 3 years ago. It was showing up earlier today, with no issues. I even played a game or two store on it. Later, I launch the XBGP and see all my games are gone. Then I realize the HDD is not detected at all in windows 11. I tried the partitioning tool as well. Checked the BIOS too and the HDD is not detected. I tried a usb to SATA adapter on the HDD and it didn't produce any results either. Could not even properly feel the disk vibrating.
  18. My 1tb game hard drive is not being detected by my computer. At three years old, it seems to have lived its warranty period and just decided to die. I need a NVME drive preferably, to store my games. (which I will have to download again) I don't mind using the older SATA standard for the NVME slot or even a SATA ssd. Need something that will last longer than 3 years. My current SSD for windows 11 , the crucial mx 500 has lasted pretty long. Longer than three years.
  19. Oh, my bad. I ran treesize and realized my hard drive is not being detected.
  20. I had about six games lying installed for several months. I had not renewed the Gamepass until a week ago. First Doom Eternal goes missing. Uninstalled on its own. Then the rest of the games today are just missing. They are not even slated to be exiting the game pass. Wtf is going on. That is several GBs of download all over again for me. I have changed literally nothing for such a thing to happen.
  21. Will equipping a DAC to these make a huge difference?
  22. I'm using cheap 2.1 Creative speakers from 2011 which refuse to die. I sometimes use my BOSE qc 25 for a music listening session. iPad and on my desktop. Recently I got Apple music and they stream hi-res or something? Will I benefit in any meaningful way if I get a DAC for the desktop?
  23. Pressing ESC before the OS splash screen allows me to boot into recovery mode each time. I can use this to clean and repair packages each time. Too many steps to boot up, but its manageable for now I guess.
  24. For no apparent reason, since the past 2 days, ubuntu is not outputting any signal to the monitor on boot. None of my motherboards debug LEDs are on. So no hardware issues. After putting the computer in standby mode a few times, I was able to access the ubuntu launch options menu from where I was able to boot into recovery mode. On the first attempt, ubuntu removed some packages and updated. I did the disk check and cleared space too. After all this I was able to boot into ubuntu normal. However, the same initial no-display problem has started again with a cold boot. The same is also happening on my USB ssd drive running the same ISO and version. I cannot be booting into recovery each time to just use the OS. Additionally, I have tried HDMI too, and still could not get a display without using the above technique. I mainly use Display port. What can I do to solve this issue? Here is a similar issue from another user, just 3 days ago.
