DaMainMan reacted to mikaelus in Madison reveals experiences working at LMG
After listening to the "leaked" audio from the HR meeting I'm beginning to lean in LMG's defence. Until now I was 50/50 about it - word against word, no actual proof of anything. But after this clip I have no idea who would be outraged about anything in it, including James' quip - at least not anybody with an adult brain.

It seems to me that it's just a typical Gen Z meltdown of a coddled brat who had a hard landing in adult reality and either couldn't bear it emotionally after twenty years of being fed participation trophies or decided to mine it for attention given current public attitudes, especially following the #metoo drama a few years ago.

If it was a systemic problem then more people would have come forward about it and start flinging names. Why isn't even Madison talking about specific people, hm? Why isn't Glassdoor flooded with poor reviews?

I used to work in a young tech company of about 100 people, with a toxic CEO in charge, and so I know that mistreated employees will definitely voice their grievances regularly, even if under cover of anonymity.

If there is a crime there is a culprit - not the company. If someone did something bad, you name them once you decide to go public. Where is that? Or was it just a case of an underperforming young hire who decided to go rogue after collecting records of some crude jokes, which are commonplace in male-dominated industries, especially in IT, and decided to make a mountain out of a mole hill?

This isn't rare or new in the current reality, after all. Younger generations, despite being raised in objectively the best conditions in human history, are reporting far greater incidence of emotional and mental problems, and are prescribed drugs far more frequently than any generation before (in a trend observable all the way back to WW2).

Unless some real evidence emerges, I currently don't see any credible argument for any sort of harassment here. Just a maladjusted female who probably didn't get along with others (or just wasn't pulling her weight) and is either using the current climate to elicit public sympathy or is cynically milking it for attention, while stabbing LTT in the back when it's on the ropes for other reasons.

Given all I've seen I don't trust a word out of Madison's mouth.

I totally stole this joke from that once I posted that I got ants inside my case - BTW I used poison and then figured out where they were coming from, more poison and it hasnt happened again.

200-300$ range now is the old 100-200$ range essentially, where the feature was not really found. Everything shifted to the right in terms of pricing for at least 100$ or more basically.

Still there, not sure which boards you were looking at, but at least 2 of those are there on might mid to high end boards, Post code and Clear CMOS. Some boards now have an onboard oled screen on the IO Shroud that does the Qcode readout, while many still have the 2 panel numerical  you're use to. As for Clear CMOS, thats migrated to the rear IO on most boards now opposed to on the internal portion of the board.

Another point here is that prices have definitely shifted to the right and gotten more expensive the last generation or 2. Power/Reset switches on the board itself is usually on top end motherboards that are primarily aimed at XoC boards for there ease of use, so its not generally something found on boards below halo/flagship products.

    Example:
    https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-maximus-z690-formula/p/N82E16813119521
    https://www.newegg.com/asus-rog-maximus-z690-hero/p/N82E16813119504

Then once you drop below the Maximus line to the Strix line, both the Power/Reset and Clear CMOS are gone but maintains the Qcode readout. A trick around the Clear CMOS would be to wire your case reset switch to the pins for quick and easy access instead of having to short the pins or pull the battery.

Well with the company laptop depending if you want to use the usb c through a dongle to get more traditional ports back such as USB A ,SD card slot etc. But if you only need it for the display and if the port on the secondary is HDMI you can just get a USB C to HDMI cable and with loosing frame rate just get a high quality cable that is the latest stand which HDMI 2.1 I believe. And the same thing with the main gaming monitor a USB C to dp cable.
You still haven't said how many inputs are on the monitors but if there aren't enough you can just buy dp or HDMI switchers off of places like amazon and depending on which ones you can get ones which come with remotes.

bclk affects memory speed, 100 is the normal bclk  (this should result in it running ~3300mhz, not sure where the other 100 is coming from...) Save your bios settings and load optimized defaults, check ram speed to see if it's operating at the speed set then.

As @Cyracus said, set BCLK to 100.
With BCLK at 100 you should get 3200MHz.

And I also don't know why it says 3395MHz with BCLK at 103 because it should be 3296MHz.
Maybe the Spread Spectrum is enabled and it makes the BCLK fluctuate in which case the clock can vary by as much as 100MHz with 32 multiplier or the multiplier is set to almost 33 for the memory instead of 32.

And BCLK affects everything from CPU, RAM to PCIe and SATA so it may even make your SSDs unstable.

Thank you gentlemen -> that worked. After almost 20 years of gaming and tinkering, the BCLK value has never come up once for me. Still learning something new every day
Let's hope the bluescreening is solved with that as well.

My bet is on thermal throttling as well - what are your temps exactly under load?
Is this a completely new system? The cooler might not be seated correctly or something in that direction. As mentioned above - this is definitely a CPU issue and you should start diagnosing in that directing. I would start with the cooling, as the CPU itself seems to be working and it should have no problem at all handling all that you could throw at it as a gamer.

Well I just log in here and there to see what new content they have online. Usually its worth a couple hours of playtime every 1-2 months. Not a bad return if you break it down to the €60 I paid back then... must have spent something around 200-300h ingame by this point.

Cooler master and be quiet both make $25ish cpu coolers that would enable you to get a mild overclock on your cpu with good temps. My cooler in my signature is quiet and my temps never break 62C in any game ever

DaMainMan reacted to Brooksie359 in Worth upgrading yet?
Honestly if you are trying for 1440p 144hz a new gpu would net you a bigger performance uplift than a new cpu. Granted you would want to get a 2080 otherwise it really isn't enough if a leap in performance to warrant am upgrade. Also the 8700k and the 9700k are essentially the same performance when both of them are overclocked. The only reason why the 9700k seems faster is because it has higher stock clocks.

As you stated, There have only been marginal increases with the latest Intel CPUs. I think you'll be fine with your current CPU until the 10700K/X700K by just overclocking slightly.

I mean you could return/sell your 2080ti and buy a 1080ti together a 144hz, 1440p monitor and be alot happer than with a totally one sided-OP system like you have now. I mean the 2080ti is even borderline for 1440p -> I think one should head towards 4k with that kind of power.
