both company launching new gpu at same quarter this yr, meaning there should be a big winner.
 
so most customer may have upgraded this time and wont come back to gpu market in yrs
 
anyway, do you think the loser gpu company will release a new series of cards shortly to counter play?

i have to disagree over gaming part majority of player still play at 720p and 30fps and all of free sync g sync bs is out of reach for many people

This card is so fast that your CPU is going to be bottlenecked regardless almost. at 1440p/4K the GPU is taking on more of the load than CPU so CPU matters less in this situation. If you're buying it with a 1080P panel you're wasting your money since the gpu doesn't even max out at 1080P. Tbh a 3600x/xt will be completely fine for 1440P/4K since it's GPU bound more than CPU.

1.4 is the long term safe limit. 1.25 is normal stock operations. so you're fine with 1.33

i would go for the 8700k and the 1080

If you want to get the most out of the cpu, get an X470 motherboard.
 
I second the suggestion to start with the stock cooler. A beefier cooler can always be added at a later date. Use some of the savings for an X470 motherboard.
 
SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 550 Gold is a touch less expensive and arguable better than the 550W G3.
 
Samsung MZ-76E500B/AM is a newer model and less expensive. Crucial CT500MX500SSD1 and Western Digital WDS500G2B0A are also less expensive and quite good.
 
You might consider a more powerful gpu.

I prefer Intel CPUs, but as a company I like AMD more.
Part of it is cause I don't always like Intel's marketing strats, part of it is cause I tend to favor the underdog

HP's with Intel COre i7 3770 CPU's and 650 Ti GPU's. Some have a little better or worse GPU's. And they have 12-16GB RAM

You should have a NB 1.8v setting it will read 1.800v by default, it's an asus motherboard so the option should be there.
