  1. My first computer was probably a Macintosh performa 5300 or 5260 which I got from my dad to play games on like Pajama sam or putt-putt. After that I got a performa 630 (I think) to do mostly the same thing. After that I got a first gen Mac mini in like 2006/2007.
  2. Divinity original sin 2. I honestly haven't given it a proper chance, but I didn't really feel it after playing for 2 hours.
  3. Even though I already knew about this, I still enjoyed the video.
  4. Hey! I've been looking on different websites but there's just so many options and different models, it's a bit overwhelming. I also haven't been keeping up with "newer" hardware and have no idea whether I should go with intel or Ryzen and what the differences between those are. The laptop isn't for me, just trying to help someone find a replacement for her current laptop. A few requirements are: - Screen size should be decent (15.6' - 17.3') - A numpad - At the very least a 256GB SSD - More than 2 cores preferably - GPU doesn't matter - Somewhat decent battery life is always good - Max budget of 1k euro I've been eyeing the acer aspire 7. Any recommendations would be great. Thank you!
  5. I don't know where you've read that, but "EA Access" is only for PS4 and Xbox. Origin Access is the equivalent for PC
  6. Is 32GB even enough? I'm currently using a 120GB ssd with about 27GB left, and I don't really install anything on it. I'd save up some more money if I were you, or just buy a 2nd hand computer from someone.
  7. Where's your storage? I'm also sure you know this, but this won't be running any games over 20 pixels (figuratively).
  8. my PSU has a 2x 6pin power out (and 2x 8 pin)
  9. To avoid breaking my GPU, I thought I'd ask it first. So in the past I've always had my GPU (2 x 8pin) connected to 2 x 6 pins on my PSU (PSU came with 8 pin to 6 pin cables), which worked fine (though it would sometimes crash under very heavy load). I just noticed it also has 2 x 6+2 pin connections on the PSU. Can I connect those to the 2 x 8 pin GPU?
  10. In addition to a recent thread I made about my GPU potentially being dead, I'm making this one since I'm not really up to date on current hardware. I started looking around and found these 3 while keeping the cooler tier list in account. This one, well it's a 2070 and it's around the same price as the next ones: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1491372/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2070-windforce-2x-8g-rev-30.html An RTX 2060 super: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1420342/msi-geforce-rtx-2060-super-armor.html Another one but this one has semi-passive fans and a slightly better cooler apparently: https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/1422784/msi-geforce-rtx-2060-super-gaming-x.html Anyone knows which would be the best out of thest 3? Especially for durability, I don't plan on OCing anything. Cheers for any help!
  11. MSI afterburner doesn't see my GPU unfortunately. But yeah I figured as much Anyway I appreciate the help, time to find a new one.
  12. Did this, still doesn't work. Hasn't changed anything unfortunately I get these weird blue aftifacts around my screen, not sure if that means anything.
  13. Turns out, my PC doesn't start at all now. Literally nothing happens when pressing the power button. Feels like I shorted something out even though I didn't really touch my motherboard and always ground myself. Isn't it possible that my PSU is dead? EDIT: Nvm the PC starts up
  14. Yeah I currently have the newest drivers installed (Installed through the site but device manager confirms this). It's weird how it happened so sudden. I was just playing a game and suddenly it crashed and booted up in 800x600 res only detecting my iGPU even though my monitors are connected to the dGPU, though I'm experiencing weird blue artifacts on my screen right now.
  15. So yesterday my computer started crashing, and when it did it make quite a bit of noise through my speakers. Today it happened again but GPU-Z only sees my iGPU now. I’m running a gtx780 which was bought on release so it’s fairly old I’d say. I tried booting into safe mode and deleting the drivers using DDU. After that I installed the drivers again but my screens turned black (which usually happens when installing gpu drivers) but they wouldn’t turn on anymore. After restarting they did turn on after like 3 minutes but just went back to only detecting my iGPU in GPU-Z. Turns out it sees my GTX 780 in device manager but yeah it doesn’t utilise it I think. I did install older drivers which I had stored on my HDD since I feel like it wouldn’t have mattered in this case. Anything else I can try or is it just dead? Device manager shows code 43.
  16. iPhone 8+, matebook x pro and my desktop PC.
  17. It's not about "the holy grail", it's about owning property instead of paying rent for your landlord. If you own property, you don't really lose money when buying it. Property rises or holds its value, while rent literally disappears into the pockets of the landlord. So what happens is you buy a property (maybe take a loan for it), you've got a roof over you head which you can sell for more eventually, or maybe rent it out. If you rent a house, you don't own anything.
  18. MacOS is a great, polished system. If it wasn't for the crappy butterfly keyboard, I wouldn't think twice about buying a new macbook pro. Windows just has issues you usually don't see with MacOS
  19. Making a pserver for yourself is literally a waste of time, and it'll be riddled with bugs if you want an "up to date" version. You're much better off playing any other single-player RPG game at that point. Well, the current version of World of Warcraft is more a single-player game than multi, so you're in luck. You don't need to communicate with people to get decent items.
  20. Chances are you're not actually depressed, but just having a bad day.
  21. There is an option to repair it, just not one offered by Apple. You're free to let someone else repair it, even though this may void any warranty.
  22. Just block Reddit out of your life, if you consider it "cancerous" I visit reddit daily, it really depends on the subs you browse.
  23. I haven't played vanilla back in 2004, but I've played on plenty of private servers. I know what to expect, that's why I'm hyped for it. Not everyone has the same taste in games
  24. More information on WoW classic and pokemon for the switch
  25. Depends on the country, really. Me and my dad have been pirating for as long as we remember without using a VPN or anything.
