ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VIII DARK HERO X570 5800X/RX6700XT In mine, works like a dream, Quality everything, -
Currently running 2 Cyberpower 1500AVR's.Had them for a few years now, just replaced 1 battery a year or so ago. They are used to allow enough time to shut down safely,Even have the Modem plugged in so the internet stays up. Have come in handy numerous times over the years due to power outages.Highly recommend. Bought mine on a good sale years ago,I think they only cost me like $120 Cdn ea when I got them. These would be the replacements for mine: CyberPower CP1500AVRLCD

You will be fine with either way, Personally I would take the AX1000 for more headroom. AX1000 Review HX850 Review

AMD Ryzen 5800X - Advice
Earnhardt replied to Vancouver Dan's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
It does not say it is not returnable on the Website, you always have 15 days. What does the receipt say? And If you live on modest means, what are you doing buying a $700+ CPU? -
I only use higher end ASUS boards, but do see a lot of people out there recommend this one: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/b450-tomahawk-max I had great luck with the ASUS TUF boards on my last FX990 boards: https://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/TUF-B450-PLUS-GAMING/

Ouch!! I would dump that Mobo for a better one. At minimum a B450 for those components, and a better brand.

ASUS STRIX 5700XT OC no driver issues since I installed it in Nov.Works like a champ. -
Thinking of getting 5700xt, I have a few questions
Earnhardt replied to Vicinity's topic in Graphics Cards
Running the ASUS STRIX RX5700XT OC with a 2700X and runs like a champ.no driver issues whatsoever, and am extremely happy with them both.I have had 0 black screens and 0 crashes, plays everything I play with no problems, all benchmarks I have done are stable and great. My complete system specs are below. Wouldn't change it for anything. I haven't played to many AAA games lately, but everything I have played has been flawless. -
For anyone having trouble with your gpu and amd chipset
Earnhardt replied to nonsense42's topic in Troubleshooting
After almost 20 years exclusively using AMD GPU's,I have had very few,if any driver issues, last year I built a new Ryzen system with a RX580 and then updated to the ASUS RX5700XT OC,I have had 0 driver issues,no crashes or black screens.I have never used or needed DDU or any other driver cleaner,I have always just used the AMD uninstaller with each driver update. I have been reading up on all the issues others are having and am at a loss as to what the issues they are having are caused by,Because not everyone is having these issues. My 5700XT even has the "too short cooler screw"issue, yet my temps are great. -
Ah,but he might,I am running Corsair RGB Vengence RGB Pro 3200 Timing 16-18-18-36.However Mine are B dies and are running 14-13-13-28 timings.these can come with both hynix and samsungs as well

Run Thaipoon Burner and check your Ram .My 3200Mhz Kit is samsung B dies .I am running them at 14 13 13 28 1T

Or the Motherboard
-
your post says you bought 3200 mhz Ram and that's what it will run at. Your CPU is a 3600 not the memory.

Did you uninstall the Nvidia drivers 1st? Then you do a "clean install" of the AMD drivers.

Windows 10 Pro x64 unable to install AMD drivers
Earnhardt replied to iMoonset's topic in Troubleshooting
Never use "auto detect" always do it manually from here: https://www.amd.com/en/support -
No windows 10 drivers for that GPU, They only go up to Windows 8. Upgrading to a more modern card would be relatively inexpensive considering even the lowest end newer GPU would be far faster than a 4870.

Has anyone tested SLI/CrossFire/NVLink with PCIe 4.0?
Earnhardt replied to RekiChan's topic in Graphics Cards
I read a few articles about the Pcie 4.0 bandwidth(not sure exactly where I read it) but current cards don't even use up Pcie 3.0 bandwidth, not even a RTX2080Ti. The only place It benefits anything is Pcie 4.0 SSD's. and the only Pcie 4.0 GPU out is the 5700's. again not too sure on all of it but just something I've read. -
It's not just about load, its more about the quality of the components in a PSU, Not all PSU's use quality components,Like anything else, you get what you pay for. Best site for PSU reviews: http://www.jonnyguru.com/
