  1. I had a similar case like yours. I had a Pentium G2020 + H61 Mobo + GTX 950. Within a year I upgraded to an i5 3570. I wouldn't go for the H81 LGA 1150 because down the year you won't find upgrades for it. I am facing the same issues with my H61. For now I would go for the H110 (H170 if it fits your budget) and G4560 and then within a year I would upgrade to an i5 or i7. For 1080p gaming I think a 1050 ti would suffice. I am pretty happy with my 950. Its pretty decent if you want to play 1080 at medium.
  2. CrystalDiskInfo doesn't seem to have access to the SMART variables on the SSD. Is there any other tool. And yes one of the drives is failing which I had added yesterday. Now I have to remove it
  3. I recently upgraded from a Pentium G2020 to an i5 3570 on my NAS setup and my Windows 10 installation started hanging randomly. I have no choice but to force power off the system and start it again. A simple restart wouldn't work because then the system wouldn't detect my SSD. The SSD is an Adata SP550. So I ran the Adata SSD tool to check the health and it said the SSD was healthy. I am a little skeptical about it and I suspect the SSD is at fault here. But the issue started after the upgrade. I don't know what the next step in troubleshooting is and so I ask for your help.
  4. Hm.. but I have like 2 contacts. None of the IPs match to theirs.
  5. Hi. I was doing a daily check of my network gear for any intrusions and suspicious activity and there were multiple IPs in my NAPT session. So I checked the Windows Resource monitor and found that all those IP sessions where started by Skype. Why would Skype do that? None of the IP addresses belong to any of my contacts. Is anybody facing something like this? I have also uploading screenshots of my router's NAPT Session and Resource Monitor Abhinav
  6. There is one called Mopidy https://www.mopidy.com It's an python based audio server that streams audio from local and internet services. I use it on my Raspberry Pi.
  7. it's pure software. isn't that awesome. And the algorithms that they have implemented will not only help in such a domain like VR but in many domains like distributed computing and vector based processing. If this research bares a good fruit, it will not only help save time but also energy for the common consumer. I am waiting for the day when we have something like Processing Power as a service in the consumer market.
  8. According to Neowin, they seem to have devised a prediction algorithm for rendering the next possible frame before an actual event occurs. By the way they are not offloading the whole GPU rendering load. The cloud and the local GPU will be rendering frames together. The cloud will just slip in the missing frames which the local GPU does not render. I think it is a good step for hand held devices as the GPU usage would reduce to some extent. 9. Apperantly, Microsoft is working on a Virtual Reality HMD called Project Irides. Irides uses the Kahawai technology which offloads some of the GPU rendering to the cloud and then streams it back to the headset with higher quality graphics. They have tested this technological concept with Doom 3 as their testing workload due to its fast game play and according to Microsoft, the participants loved it and said that it was impressive and there was a noticeable difference in the quality, latency and overall experience. Looking at how everyone is impressed with the Hololens, I am pretty sure Microsoft is going to integrate this Kahawai tech and make a super awesome Augmented/Virtual Reality HMD. What do you guys think? Project Irides is a software project btw. 10. Oh wow. Thanks. I'll try this and get back.
