  1. So i am looking at getting an index and see the minimum graphics is a 970. I own a 980ti reference card with 6gb vram and would like to get some opinions on if it will be usable with an index. I will eventually get a better graphics card but i don't want to get the index if what I have now is not even going to be an enjoyable experience until i update the GPU. I would imagine I'd have to bump most settings down quite a bit. Like a lot of you, I want to see what the 3000 series cards do to the market and look to get a 2070 super or 2080 in the future if prices drop a bit. I am currently running an i7-4790k with 16gb DDR3. Those will be updated later on down the road as I am not really seeing any bottlenecks with anything I am running. So what do you think? In almost min 2020 is it worth playing VR on a 980ti? Or should all people with 900 series look to update to minimum 1070-1080. Thanks!
  2. Sorry guys for the wrong forum. Will pay closer attention next time. Thanks for the answers and feedback. Much appreciated
  3. Mainly a brain fart because I wasn't searching with the word reference. I knew it had to have been but I just couldn't find it by looking up evga 970. Thank you!
  4. I have been searching for hours now and I love the look of these cards. It is more of me weighing my options. I don't want to have to spend $500-700 on a 980 or 980ti but I know at some point in the future I can update my rig and get another 970 and sli bridge them. I have seen pictures but no sites for selling these evga 970 cards. Anyone know if this was a concept? Also input on the 970 sli v 980 ti would be appreciated. Here is my build. Input on that is also welcome but I am only on the last two parts which are mobo and GPU. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Yuhsir2012/saved/QfLYcf
  5. I'm finishing my build here in the next few weeks after watching hours and hours of LTT. I knew very little about how to build a computer or what to even look for. I feel like my system is going to run awesome now that I have the knowledge. I do still need peripherals though. Only have my headset because of my Ps4. I have been patiently waiting for the Roccat keyboard y'all demoed for couch gamers and have been following Roccat on updates on that. I would love to use their mouse since I will have their keyboard also. I'm new to the PC community but from what I've seen, its way beater than what I'm used to in the console world. BRING ON THE BETTER GRAPHICS
