Austin Powers got a reaction from Sharif in Sennheiser HD 439
I know that feel bro, my local country here only sells Beats, Razer and Turtle Beach(there's other brand like edifier, logitech and other gaming headset(mostly headsets, nobody mention about headphones when I asked them) brands they wouldn't bring out but I knew they sell them and they never bother to mention them out). I asked the retailer to list me a good and well known brand for headphones. They only offer me Beats(top tier), Razer(mid tier) and Turtle Beach(mid tier? but still the best they said to me). Anyway, I'd like to share my purchase. I'm not sure if the local custom is charging the item tax too high or there is some restriction from the government preventing them somehow to import those product in bulk. Bought them before black friday, and somehow the discount coupon doesn't show up inside the calculation. When FedEx comes to my house, they charged me $53 for the import tax. The price is quite unfair, but for a price like this, nobody around the area who receives them accidentally would take it or buy them to get to their hands. The local postal service always delivers to the wrong house and sometimes my items got missing and need to file a report to get a compensation.
Back to topic : You could give ATH M50/s a try. I heard there are good reviews on them. That headphones feels intrigue that it almost get my roommate to get them.

Austin Powers got a reaction from James_AJ in Mechanical Keyboard Club!
Not sure when the Filco keyboards out of stock, but I request for stock in since 29/03/2013 and finally restocked @ 15/05/2013(as promised, they messaged me when the stock arrives during in the middle of the night) and bought them @ 16/05/2013. $110 though. I get special discount for becoming the 1st customer who buys them when it's freshly new batch in stock.
Some lighting problems(maybe I'm still virgin to become a cameramen) when I shoot on them

Austin Powers got a reaction from LifesCompanion in Good DAC suggestions
For the M50, it makes no difference. Only use DAC if your headphones produce low volume when the volume turns up high.

Austin Powers reacted to Stonep11 in Static sound in my headphone speakers
Either not enough power delivered to the headphones or some kind of interference in the PC or chord.

Austin Powers got a reaction from Sharif in Speakers vs Headphones
If you want privacy then go for the headphones. I always wanted to go for the speakers if there is no one living with me(for convenience purpose.)

Austin Powers reacted to ShearMe in Non USB powered headsets
You want the input to be high-impedance, and the line out impedance doesn't matter because of the first part of this sentence.

Austin Powers reacted to EmoRarity in Non USB powered headsets
Line out is slightly different then a straight output. Line out, is line level, and has yet to be amped. Output is amped.

Austin Powers got a reaction from ShearMe in HD558 vs ATH-AD900x?
ATH AD900x are open headphones and A900x is closed headphones. I can't really compare them because I never own any of them.

Austin Powers reacted to GamerDude in quickfire tk mx blue vs razer blackwidow tournament (stealth or nonstealth)mx blue
There are pratical reasons why some choose a keyboard with back light, namely that they are not touch typists. Some, like 'lil old me, can't type very well w/o seeing the keys/legends, yes, I know I really ought to learn to touch type. Getting old and a little too set in my ways I'm afraid. I do have non-LED keyboards, like my KC/Topre/Filco, but when I use them, I need my room to be lit.....or, at the very least, have a desk lamp on to see the keys.
As for the so called BWTE Stealth Edition, it's basically a regular BWTE except it has MX Brown instead of the clicky MX Blue of the regular BWTE, quite similar to their BWU 2013 (MX Blue) and BWU 2013 Stealth Edition (MX Brown). I really wish Razer would stop this marketing crap, why not simply state the switch used instead of bandying the term 'Stealth'? Regardless, I'd take the Quick Fire TK over the BWTE/BWTE Stealth w/o even thinking about it.

Austin Powers got a reaction from Mendozacheers in Mechanical Keyboard Club!
Never shoot them with turned on LED lights before. So, here it is:
Full image of the keyboard:
I fold up an unused cloth roughly 20mm thick and shove them in a PE plastic and put my heavy Filco on them to dampen the noise of my blue switch. Keyboard doesn't even move while I'm typing. Keyboard weight just make me proud to use the keyboard on any slippery surface.
EDIT : I must warn you not to click the image. This is the best view you can get or you can zoom out as out as possible without clicking the image.

You mean you want a keyboard replacement on the laptop? I heard some people do this thingy. You should try it and see if you like it or not.

Austin Powers got a reaction from exousia7 in mechanical keyboard vs normal
I love to type on my Filco Ninja blue switch. After a few months, I realize that my mechanical keyboard is precious. There is difference when you go to mechanical keyboard and switch back to membrane. So far from my experience from using them for several months. It seems like I only go back to membrane and rages when I playing a serious typing game and FPS gaming. In my opinion and feelings, if the money isn't bothering or hurt you each time stabbing the keys down on the metal plate and planning to buy new mechanical keyboard in the future, then go for the rough use. This is only my experiences when using the mechanical keyboard vs membrane. Membrane is just cheap and I like to rage press it freedomly anytime I want .
