  1. I was never just gonna go out and buy it. I do want to wait, but I guess I never said that earlier. Anyway thanks for the reply
  2. Have you tried going into Nvidias control panel and selecting prefer maximum performance in the power category?
  3. Oh sorry, the question would be if it really does have the better airflow and all that would it be worth the 200 dollars or so it may be worth?
  4. Considering new build soon. Been really into Phanteks cases as of late. Looking at getting the newest evolution of the Evolv. Something I can build into when needed.
  5. Okay, so I actually figure out the problem myself. As it turns out unbeknownst to me when I had windows installed the first time I made a mistake in one of the settings. So it was booting in the legacy mode from the very beginning. Anyway, it took a really quick google to find out what was going on. As it turns out windows has a recovery partition in a specific form, each form corresponds to either a UEFI boot or a Legacy BIOs boot. All it took was a change in the partition and I fixed the problem myself.
  6. Okay, so I've tried both disabling and setting to UEFI only. Drive isn't detected then. It goes straight to the BOIS.
  7. Hello all, Long time no post. I seem to be having an issue with my motherboard. By the title of the topic I have an Asus Maxiumus IX Hero motherboard that seems to not be booting from the UEFI like it was supposed to. I've looked on other forums and seen people have the same issue, just not on this board so I am getting pretty frustrated. The build includes the above MB, corsair vengence lpx ddr4 8gb *2, EVGA PSU, MSI gaming Z 1070, corsair MP500 M.2 SSD, and a Kraken x64 280mm liquid cooler. I am in the process of talking with ASUS customer support but so far they have yet to be helpful. I've tried to clear the CMOS, and a few other things. The computer boots into windows just fine it just does the legacy boot thing which I am pretty sure is not the way it should be. Anyway thanks in advance for the help.
  8. What I am trying to say is that I think I have updated everything I needed to. However, the cards still don't act right. I guess I need someones opinion on if the mobo is bad or there is a setting i didn't have right.
  9. Hello all, So as you can see by the title, I am having some trouble with my graphics card(s) on intels newish platform. The problem is that no graphics card will achieve it's base frequency on the computer, however going back to skylake it all works out perfectly. I have a 7700k Asus Maximus IX Hero 16gigs corsair ddr4 msi GTX 1070. I also tried a different card an MSI gtx 950 and the same thing happened. I honestly dont know what to do next.
  10. The 5T is a little too expensive for me, not to mention some of the features i wouldn't really use. I have given it some thought. I can always upgrade down the line.
  11. I've been looking into this case for a while now, and I guess I just need someone else's opinion. Not planning to 'Extreme MOD' the case. Need good room for air cool, planning on water cooling once I find the right stuff.
  12. All I meant to say is that doing that helped me when I was experiencing random frame drops. You could be running a different cpu and it may not affect you as much as it did to me. Anyway, if you have yet to try, download the latest Geforce experience but I have heard some horror stories about. Personally I have yet to find a problem in the software. Could it be that it is just time to get new GPU's? How old are they?
  13. If you are are running win 10 be sure to go into the xbox app and disable the function that automatically records game play. Doing that helped me get more frames in all the games I play
