  1. SSD Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB SATA-III 2.5 inch (510Mb/s write, 550Mb/s read) When i bought it like 3 years ago it I run Crystak Disk benchmark also it had around 400-450 Mb/s write speed, 450-500Mb/s Today i decided to run some benchmarks on all my hdds , and i notice that my notebook ssd write speed drop to 140-150Mb/s. First ideea was to do some firmware update, but no improvement. Any clue how can i bring write speed back to around 400-450Mb/s? old benchmark made like 2-3 years ago today benchmark
  2. Here are the speed test i made for the m.2 drive
  3. Salutare zMeule ! It is a Samsung SM951 256GB M.2 PCIe 3.0, 2150/1200MBs http://www.fanplace.ro/ssd-uri/integral/79917-ssd-integral-sm951-256gb-m-2-pcie-3-0-2150-1200mbs-80mm-only-8-grams/ Motherboard is this: AsRock Z170 Extreme 4 : 3 SATA Express, 6 SATA3, 1 Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA3) http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170%20Extreme4/index.us.asp
  4. yes, you are right , i never knew this is is good at least i figure out what is happening ... the exact sata ports that m.2 is disabling. I change the old hdds to different ports and they show up. Now question is: if i buy a m.2 adaptor to PCIE similar like this : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MYCQP38/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B00MYCQP38&linkCode=as2&tag=tinkertry-20&linkId=UAU4IQVJG2GAADQP , will the 2 sata slots still be disabled? I am asking this bcs i have 6 sata slots, 1 is dvd rom, 2 are disable by m.2, and in future i may need more sata slots. I would like to have like 4 hdd: 2 for backup , 2 for normal storage, 1 dvd , 1 m.2 for sistem use.
  5. on my mother board i have m.2 special port witch is pcie, i dont think is normal to disable 2 sata ports
  6. I just unpluged the m.2 and the old drivers appear in bios
  7. PC Specs - i7 6700K - AsRock Extreme 4 - Gigabyte GTX 970 Extreme - 16GB HyperX 2666 - Corsair RM650 - Samsung m.2 pcie 256gb

  8. yes 100% because i used them before inserting the m.2 ..... one hdd had win10 on it , the other i was keeping for storage documents. In future i will get rid of them anyway bcs they are old , but i may get same issues with new ones, so that's why i want to figure it out.
  9. Hi i just finished my pc buid. The last element inserted was a samsung ssd m.2 pcie 256GB. I booted windows 10 on it and then the computer no longer detect my old hardisks (2 hardisk 250gb sata 2). The old hdds are not availalble on bios, not available on disk manager. I updated even mother board bios nothing. Any clue?
  10. I decided to go for Kingston Fury 2400MHz CL15 , they may work better then corsair Corsair Vengeance LPX, DDR4, 16GB, 3200 MHz, C16
  11. I think i will go for Corsair RM series RM650 , 650W. What about RAM?
  12. Hey guys, I want to build a new desktop computer. I will use it for webdesign (codding, photoshop, illustrator) and gamming. Here are the specs i have in mind: CPU: i7 6700K (I just ordered) Motherboard: ASRock Z170 EXTREME4 (Supports DDR4 3866+(OC)*/3600(OC)/3200(OC)/2933(OC)/2800(OC)/2400(OC)/2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory) CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 Case: Thermaltake Core V51, Middle Tower SSD: Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB (i own already) RAMM: ?? I am thinking: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4, 2*8GB 3200MHz, C16 ?? PSU: ?? I am thinking: Thermaltake Smart SE 630W GPU: This i am thinking to purchase later GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 970 G1 GAMING 4GB DDR5 256-bit Monitor: Samsung U28E590D 4k (I own already) I am not sure about RAM. I'we seen some of Linus videos where z170 series dont get good results with ramm bigger then 3000mhz. Any clue where I can check if those Rams are compatible with Motherboard before i do any puchase? Or you think my choise will be just fine? Also I try to save some money on PSU, will a Thermaltake Smart SE 630W be enough for this build?
