  1. Cheers for the info. Wow - depending on how the processes are divided - this could be the real bonus. Imagine a "1080X" with 8GB(?) HBM2 on DX12 with a supporting game, so we are talking dual 1080's with shared memory resources..? Bring on the VR... A shot in the dark would be one RAM set is holding the visual graphics, while the other is holding and dealing with processes of some sort? As I would imagine splitting the visuals between two sets of RAM on separate cards could potentially lead to choppiness of some sort?
  2. Didn't notice anything about RAM usage in the article (in work, I can only skim before my manager notices!). I take it card#1's RAM will be used and card#2's will be redundant as with SLI, x-fire (or whatever it's called these days)? Please tell me I'm wrong and it could be theoretically doubled....?
  3. You're probably right, forgot about the Trump jab - the man kills me inside.
  4. I was pointing out that cracking domestic criminal's phones would be more effective on national security than cracking "terrorist's" phones. How is this not "on topic" ?
  5. -snip- The irony here, Albatross, is the USA should ONLY be cracking the phones of its domestic criminals. The term "terrorism" is simply a political tool these days to frighten voters into voting. Gun crime is the SINGLE most important issue facing the USA today, NOT "terrorism". Check out the stats online, the USA is currently the laughing stock of the world because of each citizen's desired right to murder an intruder. Yet they fail to connect the dots when the numbers are shown to them (they are above in my previous post, and plastered everywhere online). Ignorant as per usual I suppose. This is the nation on the verge of electing Donald Trump though, I shouldn't be surprised.
  6. This is ridiculous. Not allowing members to delete their own posts is somewhat dystopian. A bit strange LTT desires the outright power to delete posts themselves (himself).
  7. Lol. A terrorist? In the USA 280,000 people have been killed by DOMESTIC gun violence in the last decade. 24 have been killed, domestically, by "Terrorist" attacks in the last decade. Your local criminals are not far off being infinitely more dangerous than your scary "terrorists".
  8. I'm sorry, but you have 68 comments on LTT, presumably are also subscribed to the channel on youtube (or vessel... but I'll leave that debate for another day) and I'd hazard a guess you watch other tech related videos. That's a VGA to a DVI connector, not an HDMI connector. You could of found that out in one badly worded google search. Your problem is PROBABLY drivers or shitty RAM needing changed.
  9. I find Zuckerberg's comments laughable. There are routine changes to Facebook's policy we are not told about, one major one was that users data (some, if not all) is now shared with the NSA and other security agencies. I live in Ireland, fuck off America.
  10. I'm on 4G three in UK unlimited data with speeds ranging from 20MB - 75MB down and 10-20up. Costs me £13.00 a month. about $20 USD UK>ALL.
  11. Why? I was just providing clarification to anyone who wanted to know - The names are NOT decided on and they have NOT been released. The article's title is deliberately misleading to say the least.
  12. Where does it say this? Where does any article say this? Other than the click-bait sensationalist headline of the OP's link it doesn't say anywhere else. In fact in the SAME ARTICLE it goes on to say - "allegedly called the GeForce GTX 1080". Show me confirmation please. allegedly əˈlɛdʒɪdli/ adverb used to convey that something is claimed to be the case or have taken place, although there is no proof. "he was allegedly a leading participant in the coup attempt" synonyms: reportedly, supposedly, reputedly, purportedly, ostensibly, apparently, by all accounts, so the story goes, putatively, presumedly, presumably, assumedly, declaredly, avowedly
  13. They didn't skip the '8' series, it was mobile only - http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-870M.107792.0.html
