  1. Why did you switch? Also, is your signature out of date or is it still current?
  2. there is another year between now and 2025. LMG could decide to change course and do LTX for 2025. And honestly, I really hope they do. LTX 2023 was my first ever in-person event, and I loved it. It's a shame its not happening again in 2024, but I do understand why. However, LMG could literally just hire an event planning company like ReedPop (who holds major events like PAX) and have them do most of the event planning and work, without forcing the team to crunch. Would make it a lot easier on the LMG staff.
  3. Man I feel as if you're only in this thread to hate on AMD. Issues happen. They happen with NVIDIA too; they aren't somehow immune to having driver issues. I've seen loads of people have a ton of driver issues on NVIDIA cards as well. And as someone who has the 7900 XTX as well, I've noticed zero issues on my end personally. Instead of criticizing AMD, perhaps RMA your unit. RMAs exist for a reason, and if your card isn't reliable, it might be a hardware fault. Therefore I suggest an RMA. Additionally, your replies in this thread are unnecessarily hostile.
  4. These aren't issues I'm experiencing and I have a 7900 XTX as well, but the ASUS TUF Gaming OC. It probably has nothing to do with the drivers and has moreso to do with your specific unit. My friend had constant issues with DirectX detection for example (games straight up not recognizing a DirectX-compatible GPU) among other problems, and as I personally know an AMD engineer who is the driver lead for the 7000 series, I talked to him about the issues my friend was experiencing, and he said it was a hardware failure and he too uses a 7900 XTX. So he told me to tell my friend to RMA the GPU, he got a replacement Sapphire Nitro+ Vapor-X, and he's had zero problems since. Instead of venting about your problems and expecting things to be fixed in software that can't be fixed, maybe RMA the unit instead? Because the initial post makes it seem like everything aside from an RMA was attempted...it could be an issue with your specific unit instead of an issue with the drivers.
  5. I'd personally go for the 7800 XT. Faster than the 4070, and AMD has a tendency to put major effort into continulously optimizing their drivers, making them faster over time than reviews initially suggest, and it'll be perfectly fine for streaming due to AMD's new encoding engines included in RDNA 3.
  6. You can point out gross behaviour without resorting to unnecessary insults. That's all I'm saying.
  7. I'm not defending them. What I said applies in general. No one should resort to targeting others with petty insults regardless as to who it is, especially not on a forum and especially not in a thread as serious as this.
  8. Absolutely not. Misogny is severely bad. But people can and should point it out without petty insults like avatar or username attacks. Toxicity is bad, and always has been. I know this first-hand because I used to be a toxic person years ago and I have worked severely hard to try and kill that part of my personality. As for the cringy posts, I haven't read this entire thread. It is just too big to completely read through. But I agree that the community needs to work on improving itself and treating people better.
  9. She's actually a Canadian citizen, from what I heard online. She was staying with family with Arizona before the whole hiring by LMG, then she moved to Vancouver because of it, but before Arizona and LMG she lived in Alberta. I don't know if she is back in the U.S. or not, but for all intents and purposes, she is Canadian.
  10. Madison does have stuff to lose. If a lawsuit is filed if the allegations turn out to be false, and she's found guilty, she will more than likely have to pay LMG monetary damages on top of fully retracting her statements or even be sent to jail for lying about a serious offense. So no, she doesn't not have anything to lose.
  11. I didn't read their posts, as its not my business. Sexual assult / abuse is severely bad, regardless as to where it originates, be it either the workplace, one's own home, or even in public by trafficking. But people have lied about in the past, especially in the #MeToo movement, and thats even shittier, considering the fact I have people incredibly close to me who have gone through SA themselves. But regardless as to what they have posted, please don't insult someone over their username or avatar. It is unkind. You may have valid concerns regarding the material of what they post, but you don't have to resort to insults or attacks.
  12. -moderated content removed- As for my comment re: the allegations, they are just that. Allegations. Until proven true or false, they should be treated as such. And with LMG doing an internal review, and hiring an outside investigator, I am sure a conclusion will be found soon as to whether or not Madison's claims are truly accurate, or if they are false. If they end up being false, I expect LMG to look into legal action over Madison attempting to damage their reputation with false claims. Discrimination, sexual harassment or abuse, or other toxic workplace conditions are explicitly forbidden under multiple Canadian laws and statutes, including the Criminal Code of Canada, numerous provincial acts in British Columbia, and the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms itself. The truth will reveal itself. Until then I am not picking a side.
  13. I have no idea if you're joking or not (?) but to be fair, DMC5 and The Division 2 seems like a pretty good deal. Not sure about the RE2 remake but meh. I'd probably most definitely buy the card if I had to just for those two titles (and if I had the money & needed the card). Plus it'd add to my games collection too. The 5c wasn't that bad at the time if I'm being honest. It was an okay phone for the price, aside from the cheap materials used & the lack of the Apple A7 chip found in the higher end 5s. Other than that though, for the price it wasn't bad.
  14. Enable your RAM's XMP profile in the BIOS. Because it's an MSI board, there should be an XMP toggle near the top of your BIOS' GUI that will allow you to set your RAM to its specified max speed. If you have trouble, just look up your motherboard's manual & look at the sections related to the BIOS. ?
  15. Get the HT-Z9F then. It's a Dolby Atmos + DTS:X soundbar & from the way it sounded in the video posted today featuring the soundbar, it sounds really dang good. Plus if you wanted to, you could add the optional wireless satellites later on to improve the sound further. Plus, it comes with a subwoofer which will give you plenty of bass during action-packed movies & TV shows (and maybe music, depending on if you plan on playing music through your TV). Also, I'm pretty sure it'll be better than the Samsung & JBL soundbars you listed alongside the HT-Z9F.
