I wonder though...  If Zen sucks, should AMD really still be in the CPU business?  There are other players in the processor market that could easily expand to desktop and laptop CPUs.  Samsung has already shown interest in purchasing AMD.  It's not like there would be a monopoly if AMD went under.  Somebody else would enter the market very quickly.
 
I sincerely hope Zen is everything we want it to be.  If it's awesome I'll probably buy it.  But if it sucks, I'm not going to cry for AMD.

you would not be able to fit a decent 120mm fan in the slots if you wanted, since theres only 60mm of space to work with. looking at the msi FE dimensions (which are all the same besides branding), its 40mm. thats leaves you with less than 20mm for a fan, and there are none that move enough air at that size to be useful. the blower should be enough by itself, but if the temps do get too bad, you can look towards a deepcool gamer storm 20mm.

just note you wont be able to reach as high oc on the cpu because of thermal limitations, but everything else looks good

i would recommend switching the psu to a corsair sf. its cheaper and higher quality (tier 1 vs tier 4 on the psu list)

Erm... DOCSIS is not a security standard. DOCSIS is a Cable Internet transmission standard, similar to DSL. It literally stands for "Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification".
 
An ISP will ONLY support DOCSIS 3.0 (or any revision number) if they provide Internet Over Cable. Century Link is a DSL provider.
 
Your modem recommendation isn't bad, but the link provided only has used models available. I highly recommend that the OP does not buy a used Modem, especially when they have a budget of up to $75.

In either of these cases, these are Modem/Router Gateway devices, which means they're all in one devices.
 
What that means for you, is that you'll want to disable the Wireless functionality, so that you use the Archer C5. Ideally, you'd want to set the modem into "Modem Only" mode that disables the onboard router and WIFI. That's usually a pretty common feature, but the instructions on how to do that are different for every model.

DOCSIS is a standard for security. Youl want to make sure your ISP supports DOCSIS 3.0
