  1. Recently I asked my brothers what browsers they use. One uses Yandex while the other uses that funny new gaming browser Linus made a video a while ago about. I'm here still using chrome, but I was thinking I'd like to try something different with more privacy, less tracking. I use the Duckduckgo search engine since it's supposedly more private than google search.
  2. I know, but I was thinking on one hand atleast MY government wouldn't have access to it. Not that I'm doing anything to garner the attention of my government. *paranoid eye shifting*
  3. I think I might try either Protonmail or Yandex mail. BTW I really appreciate the laptop-only lifestyle. Can I ask what laptop you use? Also what does your docked cooling setup consist of?
  4. Question is in the title. Like what's the most safe/secure? I remember a while back yahoo had tons of account details leaked or something, well where am I least likely to have that happen and make sure things are as secure as possible for sending sensitive information?
  5. How much performance will we see from these sort of APUs when the switch to DDR5 happens?
  6. I know copper is expensive, heavy and iirc harder to manufacture as a heatsink, but for both SFF ideas or to just flex are there any good ones out there?
  7. I'm currently using 2 120mm white LED ring fans https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072NBZKH1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I find they look pretty nice, better than the kind of fans where the blades are lit.
  8. I might be able to get away with just a white plastic blade fan for the cooler.
  9. You know though, when I think about it, I might not need either fans as long as the RGB on the RAM, MB and GPU are all added onto my 2 existing White LED ring fans that should be enough light to get rid of all the dark spots in my case.
  10. https://www.amazon.com/Scythe-300-2300-Controller-Included-Single/dp/B07ZVZZLPD/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=92mm+fan+rgb&qid=1595006995&sr=8-3 Here we go for the 92mm fan!
  11. It's not a big deal for the 80mm fan, My specific case was an older case that I modded a window onto. The 80mm fan would have been hidden at the front of the case inside the 5.25'' drive cage on an adapter that holds 3.5'' drives as well as a mesh intake supporting an 80mm fan. The light coming from it would have only been indirect if that makes sense. Since I plan to get RBG RAM once I upgrade I think it will help with lighting in that region of the case. I do have a little more hope for the 92mm fan though, either I will keep looking or try to find a taller cooler for 120mm fans.
  12. https://www.amazon.com/anidees-Aureola-Compatible-addressable-AI-AR-DUO8/dp/B07XB8VLL9/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=80mm+white+led+fan&qid=1595006275&sr=8-5 This is an option, but I can't find where I can just buy one and not the 3-pack which is stupid.
  13. I prefer LED ring fans over the fans themselves being lit, but I'm not picky at this point.
  14. Yes sorry. Been a while since I've looked at these things.
  15. I'm looking for some specific fans for my case. Fan #1 is I'm looking for a 90mm PWM fan that is either White LED or RGB so I can make it white because I'm going for a clean white light aesthetic. It's been surprisingly hard to find though since most fans with lighting are 120mm+ The second fan I'm looking for is also White LED / RGB, but I want it 80mm which is even harder to find, although this fan is out of sight in the case so it's not the end of the world if I can't find one. This one does not need to be PWM
  16. https://www.newegg.com/raijintek-ereboss-black-0r100011/p/13C-001T-00009?Item=9SIA66Z28G7122&quicklink=true That looks like a 50+ dollar heatsink going for under 30. I would probably get a thicker fan for it though. Would you recommend getting it?
  17. Well it's Planetside 2 where I spend most of my time and gaming is the primary workload for the PC Planetside 2 atleast the way I understand it is heavily CPU bound However since it is just an entertainment/gaming system and it doesn't make me any money by being faster I want to upgrade as cheaply as possibly while also heavily outperforming my old i5 3450 in games. My case will be reused and my PSU is less than a year old so I don't need to pay for those.
  18. I'm used to just looking at locked intel CPUs that have a decent all-core turbo speed because they were cheaper than K series CPUs and that's still the case, but now AMD apparently offers better value than even that according to everybody. My question is will I have the same plug-n-play as far as my CPU being able to turbo on all cores or is the advertised boost speeds for Ryzen 3000 only on a single core? If not how high do Ryzen boost on all cores? I never really had any interest in learning to overclock because I never saw the point.
  19. Just looking for something new to play that has a healthy size playerbase and isn't something that requires getting sucked into a subscription model to enjoy the game. That said I don't mind buying the game or DLC/microtransactions as long as they're only single time purchases. MMO I've played until now: - Planetside 2 (great F2P open world shooter, far from pay2win which is why I still play it) - Old School Runescape (used to play heavily, but the grind has gotten to me and I'm trying to steer away from subscription based games) - Dungeons & Dragons Online 2006 (Great game, but a lot of paywalled content has made the game a graveyard last time I played) So yeah, I'm open to recommendations. I've never played WoW classic, isn't that F2P? Is it any good? Also has anybody tried Temtem on Steam? It looks Pokemon inspired. Lastly my brother was talking about a game called Phantasy Star Online 2, what's that like?
  20. It's been years since I played Gran Turismo 4 on our PS2. Are there any games like that on Steam? My favorite thing was how you actually play as real world cars and not just cars designed for racing. I don't drive IRL so I don't actually know anything about cars.
  21. My brother has an mATX case. Would this mATX motherboard work for a Ryzen 3600? https://www.amazon.com/ASRock-B450M-PRO4-F-Promontory-Motherboard/dp/B07QXNJHV8/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=ASRock+B450M+PRO4&qid=1592589111&sr=8-2
  22. No 200 usd is just for CPU. I'm now looking for a good motherboard for the 3600 though if you've got any suggestions.
  23. Budget for CPU is under 200 dollars, atleast 6 cores 12 threads. Actually I found intel 10th gen, my brain just farted. So then it's This... https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i5-10400-Desktop-Processor-LGA1200/dp/B086MN38Q2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=intel+10th+gen&qid=1592588328&sr=8-5 VS this... https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-3600-12-Thread-Processor/dp/B07STGGQ18/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=cpu&qid=1592586468&sr=8-1
