  1. Thanks for the replies everybody. Looks like I'll be getting the H2100's
  2. Hi all, I've come here in the past for help regarding headsets, and was pleased with the responses and friendliness of the community. My headset just broke (Corsair Vengeance 2000, broke on the adjustment arm). They broke in the past, I got them RMA'd, now the new set has broken. The first pair lasted around 8 months, this pair has lasted about a year. I'm looking for a new wireless headset in the $100-200 USD range. This headset cost around $120 at the time I bought it. I'm thinking about getting the Corsair H2100 (looks like the successor to the model I have?), they're priced at an impressive $80 on Amazon. I've been satisfied with the sound quality of these headphones, as well as the battery life and comfort. Overall I'm looking for something with a better build quality, something that will hopefully last 2-3 years, as well as something with good sound and comfort. Could anyone give some suggestions? I'm leaning toward the H2100's due to their low price point and that I love my Vengeance 2000's (besides the build quality). I've heard they have better build quality, but I'm not sure how much better. I don't beat my headphones up by any means, but they are used daily under normal wear. Thanks in advance to everybody!
  3. the school bought the computers for the student.s
  4. That video with the 10,000 iPhones was fake though.
  5. Thought I'd share this video a friend of mine did. The school he works at got a bunch of MacBook Airs for the students and they used the boxes for dominoes. The whole thing is .64 miles (about 1km) in a 4 story building and 4,000 MacBook Air boxes. He's also giving away an iPhone 4 that's unlocked with an iCarbons Skin if the video reaches 500,000 views (coming from his own pocket, not the school). [Edit: Updated link for HD]
  6. Yep. According to Corsair's FAQ, the loopback is automatically enabled because it "helps you verify that your microphone is working, and helps keep you from speaking too loudly or too softly." Thanks for the link, helped me discover they mentioned it in the FAQ. I really hope they give you the option to disable loopback as I personally find it very annoying. Someone else in that thread mentioned that if you straighten the mic and put it at the lowest possible level, it will help the loopback volume and make you sound clearer. I can verify that it does help the loopback sound much quieter, but definietly not make it unnoticable. Thanks for the help!
  7. It's been off :( I don't understand why it does this. I should mention that it's not as if I'm in a call with myself. It's more of any breathing into the mic or talking I can hear, but nothing else. If I tap the mic I can hear that very loud and same with blowing into the mic.
  8. Hey everyone. I figured this would be the best place to ask for help on this issue. I just got the Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset and I'm loving it. However, for whatever reason, I can hear everything that goes into the microphone out the headset unless it is muted. No combination of lowering sound or mic volume fixes it and I also see no way to disable it. I have tried to go into the properties of the headset and change the levels to mute the mic and line in (I did this with my previous headset to fix the same issue), but I see no option to do this (perhaps because it is USB? Not sure.) Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as it is extremely annoying to me to hear myself through the headset. Thanks everyone!
  9. thanks a lot for the responses guys! I think I'm going to go with the Corsair Vengeance 1500. Best Buy actually has it for $80 right now (thanks NannerBeans for recommending it). Thanks again for all the suggestions!
  10. Hi guys! I'm looking for a new headset in the price range of $50-75 USD. My current headset has a short in the wire and it's starting to become very bothersome. They're a pair of Turtle Beach Z2 (to give some idea of the sound quality I'm looking for). Preferably with surround sound, but it's not a necessity. I've looked around for a while but I can't really find any, so I came here to see what you guys have to say. Thanks in advance!
