  1. Yeah I didnt think they would have it. Ok so Ebay is probably my best bet. Thank you.
  2. Happy to report the Elite 4s are working wonderfully! They jump back and forth from the laptop and iphone just the way I wanted them too. The only gripe I have is sometimes the calls do not come through the headset. This is usually easily fixed. Thank you all again for the help.
  3. My Dell G3 15 3590's hinge finally started coming apart. Where is a good place to source some replacement hinges? I do have a Micro Center fairly close by as well as some other choices in Houston. I am just a bit iffy of most online retailers these days with so many horror stories. TIA
  4. Ended up buying some Jabra Elite 4s as they are on sale at BB for $80 right now! Thanks for the help and I will report how they work.
  5. Also my phone is an Iphone 12 while I use a Dell laptop for work. I was looking at the AirPods, however I was unsure of just how well they would work on the PC for multipoint.
  6. Yeah I simply want something so I can switch quickly from one source to the other. So I can be listening to youtube on my pc then a call comes in and I can quickly switch to just the phone.
  7. I work at both the the office and at home occasionally depending on the need. I have found that using my beats for teams meetings works very well on my Dell, and the same can be said for my Iphone. However I am finding I would like to find something that could connect to two sources at once. At home it can get a bit noisy so I use my earbuds to use my phone/Dell laptop as needed. A lot of times I will have music/video/podcasts going on my computer too. I would love to have something that could switch easily between them when my phone rings. I have looked up couple of Multipoint capable devises and would like to here your experience with them if you have any. Thank you.
  8. I have been going through the videos today too, and have noticed it really is in a league of its own. Thank you
  9. What I have been finding in my search. They are mainly just simple fitness trackers at best.
  10. I got my wife an Apple watch 3 for christmas last year and have been thinking about getting one myself. The cost is obviously a bit prohibitive, and I was wondering if there were any good alternatives to an Apple brand smartwatch. I am mainly looking for the ability to keep track of my health a little better as I am getting older. I like the newest one's ability to take an ECG and read blood O2 levels along with the fitness tracking. If anyone has some recommendations I would certainly appreciate them. TIA
  11. I have been looking at these, and it seems I am being pushed to the higher end. Is there anything in particular I should look for in a laptop for classes? Or is it more that skimping will just mean a slower less responsive system?
  12. Thanks for the information, this seems to be the common theme with IT in general I have found. I don't believe this will be a problem for me as I enjoy learning new things. I am on of those people who watches PBS and NOVA rather than sitcoms.
  13. Per the title and my post in Laptop's I am going to start this fall at my local CC on a networking program. I was hoping I could ask anyone who has restarted their lives like this and/or taken these types of courses what I should expect. I am going to try to take as much online as possible, however I am sure I will be in classes quite a bit. Any tips or helpful information will be gladly accepted.
  14. As the title says I am heading back to college this fall to finally pursue a degree. Aviation has unfortunately not worked out too well for me and I believe it is time for a shift. My local CC has some good looking two year CS degrees and the networking is looking particularly interesting. With this in mind I am sure some kind of mobile computing system would be very helpful going forward. Thus I turn to you to help me find a good path forward. I currently have no laptop or tablet that is exclusively mine at this time, and I know the CC uses a program called Blackboard for assignments and other things. My wife has an 8 year old HP that is due for a refurbishment that I am thinking of replacing and taking it over for my use, though its troubles has me worried it may be on its last legs. So if anyone can give me some hints/tips and helpful remarks I would appreciate it. I would especially enjoy any helpful information from anyone who has gone through this before around my age. I am more than a little bit nervous obviously. TIA for all your help. Edit : Houston TX. Have a Micro Center close by and trying to keep it under 1000$
