  1. Demcifilter makes a top filter for the Define R5 that also fits the Define S. I'm using one on my S, where there is a 360 rad used in an intake configuration.
  2. BTW, which fans are you now using on the radiator since you ditched the stock ones?
  3. Have you tried remounting the H100i or even adding washers to the back plate to get better mounting pressure. When I was still on my H80iGT, which should be less efficient than your unit, I was running my 4790K at 4.7ghz with 1.295V. Stress test temps weren't nearly as hot as yours.
  4. You still may have corrosion or growth after some time, so it's good to check it after some predetermined amount of time, or you can wait until the loop is no longer performing like new to do it. Even if you were only using silver coil and distilled water, the distilled water becomes ionized after some time from contact with the metals.
  5. You can switch the fittings. You'll just have to drain the unit first. You may get slightly better performance and lower noise with EK Vardars or Gentle Typhoons. You just have to decide if it's really worth the upgrade to you.
  6. Thicker radiators pay off the most at higher fan rpms. http://www.xtremerigs.net/2015/02/11/radiator-round-2015/5/
  7. I can't imagine actually needing to warranty a case, so mod away.
  8. Made a couple minor changes. 1. The tempered glass side panel window is done. I glued some neodymium magnets to the glass itself, and the magnets are more than strong enough to hold the glass in place behind the panel. This makes it removable in case I ever need or feel like repainting the panel or case. 2. Got a custom backplate made for my video card. 3. While I do have a drain valve at the lowest point in the loop, draining the loop still isn't the easiest since I didn't put a bleed valve at the very top of the loop. I was just bleeding through the ports at the top of the reservoir, and the only part that drained well was the reservoir itself and part of the GPU block. I just added a bulkhead fitting through the top case vents to deal with this. Seems to be working well. It was a PITA to install since I didn't feel like removing the radiator to get my hands in there. The zip tie is to keep the whole fitting level since there was a short run of tubing from the port to the inlet on the front 280 rad that isn't straight but wants to be, putting pressure on the bulkhead assembly.
  9. Vardars are technically superior. I didn't get them only because of the high pitched whine I heard about. I generally run them at low rpm. They basically cross 1200rpms, even when gaming, keeping my water temp around 30 degrees C with ambient at 22 or 23C. When I manually set it to full speed, say for benchmarking, I hear an a deep toned oscillating whirl from one of the fans. Can't tell if it's unbalanced blades or resonance. Fractal is replacing it anyways. There are always someone with issues with any fan. Where the complaints? I know I've seen them; I just can't remember where. Gentle Typhoons are probably the only fans I've never heard anything negative about.
  10. Yea. All the pwm ones are plugged into a pwm hub, which is then controlled through my motherboard/AI Suite.
  11. I have basically the entire Fractal Venturi lineup. If you have any sort of restriction, go with the HPs. I use the HPs for all my radiators and one of the filtered intakes on the bottom of my Define S. The HF-12 is used at one exhaust that's free of restriction.
  12. 4 x 6+2 Pin PCI-e Cable (600mm)
  13. It'll make it look prettier, but you already have the cables you need.
  14. I'm not going to lie. I'm pretty sure your computer is demon possessed. You have a couple options. You can talk to your local catholic priest, or try this guy. http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2014/01/29/got-demons-have-an-exorcism-via-skype-in-the-comfort-of-your-home-all-major-credit-cards-accepted/
