  1. I think this was just fine. Sometimes companies do that because it's putting alot more load on their networks and some people that live like in no man's land will get even less coverage just because a few million people are watch videos at above 1080p. Because those companies want to give the user the same consist speed of what they are paying for. Now I don't steam videos but if loading a 4k video on my phone took a little longer and my rest of my phone was fast like chrome then so be it.
  2. Look under downloads it is there. What verison are you trying to get?
  3. Not really a nas. Just redundant storage for my servers. So a server can have a crash and the other server has access to the same files.
  4. So I'm looking at making a server cluster for my home server. Looking at buying a hp d2700 jbod for storage so 2 of my servers has access to the same files. In the cluster I'll have everything running shoes on hyperv vms. I'm looking at buying hp p812 controllers for my servers so they can connect to the 2700. I have been told I need it to have a pass through mode? Would this hardware work for what I'm trying to do? Thanks guys
  5. Get the dl380 g6 or newer. Best server you'll ever buy aka I have 5 of them. :3
  6. Correct. The database doesnt go outside my network thats all i need. But I just want to make sure its using the fiber port that i want it to use.
  7. So im trying to run mysql on a dedicated server but i dont know how to dedicate an static ip to it, Reason being because i want the connection it be fiber optic. I know how to make the ip static but im not sure on how to do that with mysql. Thanks everyone!
  8. Hi everyone. I found that steam has this referral think where you share steam with a link you can get steam credit! *link removed* Here is the link to check out the page and share it with your friends and get a 20$ gift card! Thanks everyone!
  9. The voucher is for one exam only, with a free retake if you fail. The certmaster license can only be applied to one course, either 901 or 902. You would have to buy another $300 combo to get certmaster with the second exam. What I did is go for the ~$380 combo first, which comes with a $100 gift card which you can use when buying the $300 combo for exam #2. This way you get a bit more of a discount than buying two $300 combos. In the end you get two exam vouchers, two free retakes, and two certmaster licenses, which you use one for 901 and the other for 902. Total is $380 + $300 - $100 (gift card) = ~$580 For preparing for the exam, I would highly recommend checking out this website: https://crucialexams.com/ I used it before I took my a+ exam and it helped a ton. If you're not too sure if you'll pass first try, I'd recommend going with that deluxe bundle as it includes training as well as a retake voucher. Thanks guys! I just needed to know what is the best way to do it. I want to start here and move from there as I really need to look for a job or a intern. Not sure where to look for a intern. I'm home schooled so i have all the time in the world to get these things done.
  10. Hi guys so I'm 16 and trying to figure out how i should tackle getting my certifications for IT. I've done some searching and found that this A+ is a good one to have. I wanting to get this one and then more onto cisco certifications. My problem right now is how should i learn the A+ stuff. I know computer petty well i run my own mini datacenter out of my basement just want to be ready to take the test and not waste money retaking it. Should I go for the 300USD combo listed here? http://www.comptiastore.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=A_BDL_DLX Then after i take the first test buy another test for 200 and do that. Thanks guys!
  11. It is the on board P410i. My problem before is that it wouldn't detect a ssd. I'm looking into the P810 that supports ssd's.
  12. Its the drives. 200-500ms response times. Just need to know if i need to replace the drive cage to for sata6 speeds.
