    Incredible new advancement

I think the washington post or something did a demo where the journalist had to speak three sentences (like 30-60 seconds in all) and it was able to almost perfectly recreate their voice.

  8. Hey everyone! Essentially, I want to use this to allow for people at swim meets to keep track of what event it is, as it is common place for school swim meets that you aren't in the pool area and can't see the scoreboard, making it a bit of a hassle to see what the event number is. To do this, I have come up with a good system, but i'm not sure how to actually code it. I do have some experience with Bootstrap and Web Development, but when it comes to notifications, i get fairly lost. Basically, I want to have a user visit a website, and click a button to confirm that they want to receive notifications. Then, I want the website to send a cURL GET request to see if anything is updated, and if so, to send a notification to the user. I know on android, as long as you have the tab open in chrome (even if you aren't in the app itself) the notifications will be sent, but i wasn't sure about if it works in the safari app on ios or on ios at all. If anybody knows how to implement a solution or how the notifications work on ios, that would be great. NOTE: I already know how to make an API, so that isnt an option.
  9. If he wants a desktop, go with a used or refurbished dell optiplex, and if you think u need more graphics, a $20 gpu from microcenter or amazon will be fine. If he wants a laptop, i would recommend this one: link

Installing the ethernet cable to my room was go…

@amdorintel i decided to use a staple gun to hold the cable, and one of them got put in at an akward angle, so it sliced through
  13. Installing the ethernet cable to my room was going well. We had tested the connection before pulling the slack and connecting the cable to the ceiling in our unfinished basement. All was well until i somehow sliced the cable....

6 out of 8 of the internal wires are clean cut. Tomorrow im going to attempt to solder them back together and if that doesnt work, ill go to the store for the pieces to splice the two ends and reconnect them

  16. What I mean is that nothing that runs on regular windows will run on ARM windows... That app I linked earlier will give you a fully featured android desktop, which allows for a fully featured version of word and a fully featured version of chrome. Here is a video demoing it:
  17. Yes, windows does have an ARM version, but there is something you need to take into account. Microsoft has not supported every aspect of Windows, so not every application will run. You're better off using Sentio Desktop as multiple applications are supported by android, including word and chrome/firefox.
  18. If you are able to, it would have to be the ARM version of windows. I'll look into it, but you might be better off just sticking to android, as there are desktop modes for it which make it act just like a regular pc, and then you can download the android version of word for that.
  19. L1011 reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee lol, ive sadly never flown on either, but based on what i've seen, i'd like to see a refresh of the L1011 make some sort of comeback
