  1. I placed my laptop in a desktop case with a fan in it, also I bought some fire alarm things just to be sure... If I'm going on vacation I'm powering the server off because you never know what can happen (fire). Processors runs at 99% in daytime (because if you will do 100% intel speedstep will kick in and heat your processor) in the nighttime the processor speed is at 70%. Got software running that monitors the CPU temperatures, and if the temperature goes above 80 degrees it will auto shut-down)
  2. Yes, I do the same. My current server specs: - intel core i7 3630QM @2.35Ghz - 16Gb DDR3 RAM - Samsung 840 pro 260GB SSD - AMD Radean HD 7670 (but video graphics are not important for a server)
  3. For example I host 2 server on this machine: -Minecraft modded server -Killing floor 2 server A modded minecraft server can easily use up to 7 GB of RAM, right now there is 1 player online on the minecraft server and it uses around 18% of my i7 CPU, and around 4.2GB of RAM already.
  4. I think not because servers need alot of RAM in the first place (especially minecraft) I would go for an intel i5 atleast, because the workload for a minecraft server can be huge.

  6. Fair enough In the Netherlands we have a 230V and our home circuits are 16 Amps. That is capable of ~3600 Watts.
  7. You should try to install the lastest driver for your LAN onboard chipset. It can be a windows 10 standard driver which is acting wierd for this specific component.
  8. Make a new issue tickets request here: https://linustechtips.com/main/support/ They can help you.
  9. I wouldn't really stick on the smaller fail %, because the Western Digital blue is also realible. Well that depents on your compromises: WD blue Fastest Average noise Highest Density WD black Fast Noisiest Highest Endurance
  10. These are the different specifications: Some WD black Hard drives have more cache and have 5 years warranty instead of 2 years.
  11. And how about your internal electrical connection? is it even capable of drawing so much power/current out of 1 electrical group installation?
  12. Isn't that a partition of your drive which can be used for system restore? I'm not really sure because I don't use any Apple systems.
  13. The game is fun in the beginning but it gets boring after some time in my opinion. Also it is so bad optimized that I cannot even enjoy the graphics. If you want a good framerate you have to lower graphical settings in the game, and you don't want lower the resolution scale because all edges become blurry/edgy looking. This is only my opinion and I cannot tell if you will like the game or not. ;)
