  1. Would probably be about as good I'm guessing (though depends on the model). I'm currently running the same cpu os you with the stock cooler, and for stock operation it's absolutely perfect, doesn't make the same racket as the intel stock coolers do. I've overclocked mine to 3.85 where I got into thermal limits and had to start cranking the voltage a lot more. But anyways, any relatively large air cooler with one or two fans should suffice.
  2. Looks pretty good, would avoid the liquid cooler though. They're generally bad value for money as 120, since air coolers will outperform them. I'd say you could run with the stock cooler out of the box and for some light overclocking, and if you want more at that point you can get an aftermarket cooler.
  3. As someone who is a simracing fanatic, the thought of gta V physics being somewhat realistic sounds crazy XD. But yeah, as other people have said check out beamng.
  4. I recall having to have a kaby lake cpu or newer for 4k transcoding o Netflix, not 100% sure though.
  5. Use DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) and afterwards re-install the amd drivers.
  6. Well, the 2600 doesn't have a gpu so it can't display anything. I'd say put the 2200g back in and remove and then reinstall drivers, plus maybe reseat the card/check if the power cables are still connected.
  7. If you've overclocked you i5 somewhat decently you probably won't notice anything in gaming with your 1060. As for photo editing, well I simply don't know, rarely do any kind of editing.
  8. 100 bucks for a 1080ti? Total scam.
  9. If you can wait another year or so then I'd recommend it, since we know there are gonna be 7nm cards released next year. As for Ryzen, I'd say it depends. If you're going to be gaming on 4k (which I'm assuming due to the class of gpu and display request :P) the difference between amd and intel is pretty much non existent when comparing the 2700x vs a 9900k.
  10. I meant that, with higher vcore you could definitly hit 5.1 and probably 5.2 or even 5.3. If you're happy at 5 though, you should just stick to your current voltage or see if you could lower it.
  11. Still though, if a 580 is 30 bucks less I'd go with it, considering it performs about equally to the 6GB (unless you're only playing games that perform better with nvidia or already have a gsync monitor :P).
  12. Yeah, thought I'd just give my 2 cents :P. But yeah, a 8GB 580 is definitly better than a 3GB 1060, hell even a standard 4GB model will be equally faster unless you run out of vram since the lower end model doesn't have less cores like the 1060.
  13. https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/core_i7/i7-8700k#Overclockability top 80% is at 5ghz with more voltage than you and delidded, so you should definitly be able to go higher.
  14. Depends on where you live, I'd say. I got a 470 4GB (effectively 570) for 120 euros, whereas 1060 3GB and 580 4GB start around 150 ish. Cheapest 580 8GB start at 170, with the 1060 at 175.
  15. Plus, as an added bonus watercoolers are very efficient in carrying the heat way from your motherboard, letting them dump that heat straight out of the case.
  16. What are the temps you get when you put your parts under load? Sound like your cpou might be overheating.
  17. I remember streaming an overclocked 4690K (@4.7 I believe?) and I can tell you that it'll really depend on what game you're playing. Somehting lighter like Dead Space will work fine, but even with a not too heave game, xcom enemy within, I was struggling to stream at 60.
  18. Best guess would to get a powermeter and hook your pc up to it.
  19. According to this website: https://en.wikichip.org/wiki/intel/core_i7/i7-8086k Your cpu should actually be running at 4.3 on all-core, though you are correct that single-core is 5ghz.
  20. For less than a 100 bucks, the best would probably be a second gen i5 paired with something like a 750ti, depending on how expensive those are for you.
  21. I mean it's Linus, of course he'll find some way to bend the rules and cheat.
  22. Hey guys, I thought I'd share my idea for the next Scrapyard Wars. As we've seen, every season generally has a theme to it, water cooled pc's (without of the shelf components), performance per dollar, no internet, etc. I then thought of something, what if they did a performance/watt challenge? Not sure how big the budget should be, but I think it's really interesting, since you usually overclock and get the most as you can out of your cpu/gpu, whilst now you might prefer to run stock or even try undervolting. Plus getting a good power supply would also be important, since you'd want to draw as little power as possible and thus getting something highly rated (instead of some jank no-name PSU) could be worth spending the extra money.
  23. It'll be the exact same product no matter wher you buy it form, so it'll be fine.
