  1. Check out TrueNAS and unRaid. Personally I enjoy using unRaid. There is so much you can do with either.
  2. You can use any charger really up to 140w output to charge the powerbank. Just keep an eye on the voltage
  3. Every consider going AMD? I know intel runs pretty toasty. and with a mini-itx system you might be starving an intel cpu and the performance will tank.
  4. I do yes. Would the be causing the problem?
  5. Hello. So I just bought the UXG-Lite on launch last week and hooked everything up this past Monday. I host a few game servers for friends only and I am having issues with this. My last router was the Alien Amplify router which the UXG-Lite took its place as when I move out its going with me. So the issue currently is that with the Alien I was able to just port forward the ports normally, but when I put those same ports in the UXG I am unable to open them. I was able to port forward my plex server, but I had to manually change the port and then that worked. But the servers I am forwarding are for Minecraft, Core Keeper, Factorio, Ark SA and SE, Sons of the Forest and The Forest. All of these were working and I have checked external PortCheckers but they say the ports are closed even though the servers are running and the ports match the firewall port forwards. Ports are enabled, but can't access them outside of my home LAN.
  6. I am using Ventoy, would this maybe do it?
  7. I use the 737s at work for some mobile computer. They honestly last about 8-9 hours while sipping 8-20w over time. If you are gaming off that battery, it may not last very long. Maybe half hour to an hour. Take a look into the Bigger battery they supply. Its a 80,000 mah and has normal outlets on it. https://www.anker.com/products/a1720?gad_source=1&variant=41982439686294
  8. My friend has a MSI B650 Tomahawk board with a ryzen 7800x3D. We are trying to disable the secure boot so that way we can install windows for them. However, when we disable secure boot, and then save, it looks like it is disabled until we reboot to try and boot from the USB to install windows. It then gives up Security Vilocation 0x1A and then puts us back into the BIOS and secure boot re-enables itself. Any help would be great.
  9. Looking at this list, the highest 19v is 120W for the 5.5mm x 2.5mm dimensions.
  10. So I picked up the minisforum AD650I motherboard. And I am a little confused on the power supply. Just a little bit. I have a 19v 3.95a barrel jack that fits and I just want to fire it up to make sure it works. However, the 3.95a on 19v is only about 75 watts. And I don't want to burn the power supply even though I am not going to be putting load on it. Looking at EYERTEC and the minisforum pamphlet that recommends a power supply thats 19v 9.47a which is a little over 180w of power. I am not going to be putting HDDs on it right now, or nvmes except for just 1 to check which sata is sata0. Can I fire it up to make sure it works on the 3.95a brick? Also, what 19v 9.47A barrel jack power bricks would you recommend?
  11. I am thinking about running dual mini-itx motherboards for my home lab. I cam across this PC case which crams 2x mini-itx boards in a 2U package and each is their own chamber which I like. I understand it will use Pico PSU, which is fine since I do not plan on running lots of HDDs or anything. So the main question here. I would like to have this on a rail system. I do not see rail mounts on this, and I wouldn't mind a project to do that and making it, but I would rather have something that maybe connects to the front of the server case front panel and then has a rail system to that, or maybe a shelf that it could sit on? Not really sure here. What would you guys think? Do you know any rail systems that would connect to this front panel? Or should I just get a shelf to put it on? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BZSCD91Z/?coliid=IUR5DERE0RRIY&colid=9FU8RULH8XFP&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it_im
  12. I shall keep that in mind. For some reason I thought the 7800 XT was about the same given like...5% or so. Not really looking for much increase at 4k60hz, just wanting a more stable 60fps in some games, Starfield for example is a big hitter I have seen. But also Cyberpunk PL and God of War. I shall check out that card.
  13. So I am considering selling my 6900 XT to a friend to help get him away from the GTX 1060 3GB card he has, and then using the money I have put aside over the last 2 years ( yes I have a computer budget for if something breaks, goes bad, or needs an upgrade haha ) And I do some video editing on the side but I also am very attracted to the AV1 encoding of the 7000 series AMD cards. I know the 7800 XT is about the same performance as what I currently have, but I am also interested in the 7900 XT / XTX cards as well but not sure if the price over the XT card would be worth the XTX. I run a 4k monitor at 60hz. I found an XTX card for 900$ in my area, and I know XT cards can be caught for around the 700-800$ mark. Seeing what you guys think if I should get the 7900 XT or XTX card.
  14. So there is the Sapphire Pulse, Pure, and Nitro+. Is there a difference between them or just looks?
  15. Why not go with a 7800XT? 4070 performance and about the same price, plus it comes with starfield with some of the GPU models.
  16. So a deeper case with more ventilation at the front. Yeah I could manage that. I appreciate the quick feedback! I could always take the door off in the mean time.
  17. So I have a RockPath 9U server rack. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0995JGT5Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I am considering building a desktop PC inside the box, and the RockPath has a maximum build depth of 370mm or 14.6 inches. The case I am thinking about is a Sliger CX4150A case which is an ATX layout which is what I have https://www.sliger.com/products/rackmount/4u/cx4150a/ However, the Case is about 378mm deep. I know there is a bit of space between the last mounting point and the actual back of the case ( maybe about 1.5 - 2 inches) and I have a 90 degree power adapter so I am not worried about that being pinched. Is 8mm really going to be a big problem here? I am also thinking about getting the rail system with it just so I can pull it out for cleaning from time to time.
  18. personally I have been using Adguard over PiHole.
  19. I am confused here. You are talking about intel direct storage, but I am not familiar with intel direct storage on an AMD platform with AMD GPUs. Did you post something that had intel in it?
  20. How about this? Better CPU and GPU https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XfRzyg Also paste comes with most coolers. And you can get a cheaper windows license from something like SCDkey or something
  21. Coil Whine. Try using Vsync or capping the frames. Probably belting out as many frames as it can make.
  22. Look at the pricings, and compare. Faster ram would benefit. So if you can find 2666 for the same price as the others, or even a little bit more, its worth it.
  23. Not sure if there is XMP, but have you tried NOT using the Expo and just do manual?
  24. If you are using F21, then yes. It has been supported since F20
  25. Really all those are is specs of what the monitor itself is capable of. This will all depend on your GPU. 4k at 120hz is just saying you can run 4k whatever at 120 frames per second comfortably. But still, what GPU?
