  1. Have a Ryzen 5950x CPU.
  2. So I have an RX 7900 XTX and I was curious on the AMD SmartAccess Video. It says 6000 series and above, yet it says its "Unsupported Feature"
  3. Even if its laptop. 1080p direct stream is fine. I don't personally see a point in a 4k screen for a laptop.
  4. No point remote streaming 4k if you are using a phone or a tablet due to the resolution. Also, you shouldn't be streaming if you are needing that bandwidth. Even on my 8 core 16 thread mini pc, cpu transcoding I can get 3x 4k streams to 1080p.
  5. 2.1 mbps for a 1080p movie. not even transcoding. Just direct remote.
  6. I mean, not exactly. I direct stream outside of home from how I converted my stuff. 1080p direct stream remote. And I dont have the best uplink
  7. Zimablade / Zimaboard exists for SBC. Easily can run dockers Also, mini PCs from Minisforum do a good job and are low power. I have 4 of them for server use.
  8. Well. Considering I have 5 ports filled, and 7 total, I have 2 free ports. Works for me honestly. I could either have 2 more APs (for my home the LR is fine), and 2 cameras maybe. Why 210W? That seems excessive for cameras
  9. I have the LR-U6 AP , 3x G3 flex , and 1x G4 dome (I have room for 2 more cameras but probably wont be adding them, but still an option) I was wondering if the 60w Switch Ultra would be enough to power all of these (and maybe 2 cameras later). I would also be connecting my Cloud Key Gen2+ to it I think it should be enough? But I wanted to double check.
  10. Well, depends on how old you are and why they chose to have parental controls in the first place haha. I was 8 when I started messing with computer so I have parental controls till I was maybe 13 or 14 because I was doing the exact same thing so I could play CD games.
  11. If you buy your own computer, as others have said here, set it up with your own account. What parental controls are there if you build it yourself? By default your are an admin unless chosen otherwise. Or are working under Group Policy which is usually if you have a domain.
  12. Thank you for the info. I may stop at Best Buy after work since its like 10 minutes down the road haha. See if they can show me a side by side.
  13. And looking at your PC specs, we have similar performance (bit less for me but still close enough haha) And I am assuming you have no issues running 1440p Super Ultrawide yeah?
  14. Monitor the voltage of the CPU. I had this kinda on my 5950x, and was seeing the voltage do 1.5 before it crashed. I did a hard cap at 1.275v and it still booster to its 5.1Ghz and never crashed again. Again, voltage is different per cpu.
  15. Hello. So I currently have a https://www.samsung.com/us/business/support/owners/product/ur550-series-u28r550uqn/ 28inch 4k monitor 60hz. My friend has a 1440p monitor, and I realized that from where I sit at my desk, I see a difference in quality, but not near the amount that I was thinking. I am thinking about getting the same monitor as them and sell my 4K This is the monitor they have, and it is on sale as well. 180hz, AMD Freesync, 1440p, IPS panel, and it doesn't seem to be a bad price. https://www.newegg.com/black-acer-nitro-vg271u-m3bmiipx-27/p/N82E16824011467?Item=N82E16824011467&ignorebbr=1&ignorebbr=1&cvtc=1585037 I have a Ryzen 5950x with a RX 7900 XTX card, so frames wouldn't be a problem. But I am interested in the anti-tearing which I do see on my 4k display currently. I really enjoyed how smooth the gameplay is on their monitor, and was wondering what you guys thought. I don't do "High quality" video editing and I don't do anything really color oriented. I play Palworld currently But I also play a little Fortnite, Avatar, Enshrouded, Ark, and few other games like those.
  16. Case is probably for OEM boards. Good luck. I would just buy a different case
  17. GPU would be a good start. Make sure your PSU can handle the upgrade as well
  18. Why not just get a GPU and let that do the transcoding?
  19. Save some money and go for a RTX 4080 or 7900 XTX. $2,200 is not worth the money. Not sure if that model is having issues, but a lot of 4090s were having the melting power plug issues. save yourself 1,000$ and get more storage, RAM, etc. Not sure when you want everything, but I think new GPUs are dropping soon.
  20. I have done a bit of troubleshooting myself, but I am having no luck trying to figure this out. I have checked if it was the graphics card and swapped it out, I updated the BIOS, removed 2 out of the 4 sticks of RAM, even just used 1 stick of RAM, tried wiping the OS and re-installing everything, done chkdsk and disk cleanup. Done virus scans and everything. I am not sure if its the power supply as I can't test that since I don't have another one laying around, but I am running out of ideas here of what it could be. Ryzen 5950x RX 7900 XTX 4x 16GB RAM Samsung 980 Pro Corsair RM850X PSU Not sure if this is anything to go off of. But this is the error I think
  21. For those that use this software, is it actually safe? If I run the file through my anti virus, its comes clean. Yet when I go through VirusTotal it says there is a Trojan attached to it. I am curious on how this software does, but I don't want to infect my system.
  22. I have a UGX-Light from Ubiquiti, and I have a server running unraid behind it. I do have Nginx running in a docker which allows me to use overseer externally and the plex users I have (only like 3 family members). So I was playing around with just looking around, and I noticed that there is a "Security Detections" tab. So I clicked it out of curiosity and I am seeing all of these detections to my unraid server to the ports that I have allocated to my Nginx docker. Thats how I found out what app was being hit. Now all of these are coming from the US, Netherlands, Russia, etc. I have the Overseer going through a VPN, so not sure what is going on here. Can you please help me troubleshoot and figure out how to reduce how many connections are trying to get to my Nginx docker?
