  1. Would run. But game is currently in the dumpster
  2. Pay a little extra for this PSU. It will pay itself off in time. (7 year warranty, and a modular supply) http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Professional-HX650-Modular-Supply/dp/B0090I9VX0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1384144911&sr=1-1&keywords=corsair+hx+650 Also, an SSD is pretty much a necessity these days so I recommend getting one as it will dramatically increase performance overall. (put your OS and a few frequently played games on there) http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-120GB-internal-Solid-MZ-7TD120BW/dp/B009NHAF06/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1384145038&sr=1-1&keywords=samsung+840+ssd As for the case, I have the exact same one and it's perfect for me - but everyone's different.
  3. So many factors. You should list these before-hand if you want a proper response. What will he be doing with the PC? What type of games will he play? Will he be overclocking? If his willing to spend that kind of money, then that is a very solid build and will last you a long time. But if it's his FIRST gaming PC, it may be a bit overkill for what he would use it for. Only thing i can think of is smaller SSD - and if his not overclocking, get an air CPU cooler rather than h100i and those fans.
  4. ^ not to mention looks better imo, and has a more industrial feel to it
  5. I personally have the k70 (with reds) and i absolutely love it, best keyboard out there. Features are great and i've even bathed it with a glass of milk, and it still works good as new.
  6. Me too, lol. People complain about 8 down speeds, when we're stuck on 1.5... =(
  7. wont washing it with water, ruin it even more?
  8. Hi, I've had the corsair k70 keyboard for about 1 month now. Absolutely love it. But tonight I was playing some LoL with friends and went to get a glass of milk. As i got back i realised the match had started and i quickly put the glass down knocking it on the arm rest, resulting on milk splashing all over the keyboard. I instantly pulled most of the effected keys off and tried to dry them. The keyboard instantly stopped working and the LED's went out. I then unplugged the keyboard and put it upside down. WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT? It wasnt TOO much milk, but obviously enough to make it stop working... Should I just leave it overnight to dry then try again? any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!
  9. Stuck between buying the white M65 or the black M65. White would be nice as it would match my desk and case, but some say it gets extremely dirty. Has anyone got the white version or a white mouse that gets dirty very easily?
  10. Yeah, i did set it at 1.1 ratio, what do you reckon i should set the ring bus to?
  11. Hmm yeah, makes sense. Does about 4-5 hours seem like a reasonable time to run prime? And also what do I do if temps exceed 85-90?
  12. Hi, i just got my first gaming PC 2 days ago. I followed this guide step by step and copied the freq and voltages This is on the Z87X-UD3H. I have the h100i cpu cooler and was wondering if this cpu-z screenshot looked about right. Everytime i try to stress test using prime95, my comp just freezes. Does that mean it's an improper overclock? Any advice is good as im a complete noob at this stuff. Thanks in advance
  13. Hi, I recently ordered the gear for my first build. My build consisted of the h80i, but the guys down at the store chucked in a h100i for $10 more (rather than it costing $30 more). So as anyone with half a brain would do, I took the offer. But I now am a bit skeptical as weather the h100i would fit? I've looked up reviews and some say it will and some say it won't. Some confirmation would be great, and even a pic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  14. Thanks, this was very helpful. So what you're saying really is that the UD3H is more reliable, plus a few bonus features?
  15. Hi, Building my first PC and i'm not sure which board to go for. The UD3H is $40 AUD extra. I plan to overclock a 4670k to atleast 4.2-4.4. I've watched ncix tech tips guide on overclocking on the UD3H, and I was wondering if the D3H would be the same so I could just follow that video. Corsair h80i 8GB Corsair Vengeance
  16. Hi all. Building my first PC. I'm not a total handicap, and have been watching/reading several reviews online about what would suit my needs best. Here what I've come up with: NZXT Phantom 410 White Mid Tower Case Gigabyte GeForce GTX770 OC Windforce Cooler Plextor PX-128M5S 128GB 520/200 SSD Intel Core i5 4670K Corsair Hydro Series H80i Seagate Barracuda 2TB Corsair HX750v2 750W 80PLUS Gold Semi-Modular Power Supply Corsair 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR3 Vengeance C9 1600MHz Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP Windows 7 OS Total cost: $1900 AUD (Yes, very overpriced parts here in Aus) I will be hoping to OC the CPU to around 4.2-4.5, and will be using this PC for gaming(Crysis 3, BF3, LoL)/browsing/watching videos and streams/occasional music production. Hoping to get at least 3 years out of this PC while being able to handle anything I throw at it, and maintaining decent FPS with reasonable graphics. Would a 4770k be necessary? I know the hyper threading has no real benefit in the gaming department, but as for overall performance some say it's worth it? All advice is much appreciated, regarding the build or anything. Thanks in advance
  17. $1900 AUD to $2200 AUD sounds reasonable for such a high end PC, depending on condition, age etc. ofc.
  18. 760's. If you're going to be water-cooling, its going to take advantage of GPU boost 2.0 and its also a more recent card, so you get the new features. Also the price is substantially cheaper.
  19. Watching streams, not quite good enough to stream just yet. :P Yeah, I've read that as well, that's why I was skeptical whether the hyper-threading would be necessary or not
  20. Hi, I am currently in the process of putting together my first gaming PC. I am trying to decide whether to go for the 3770k with the Extreme4 or the 4670k with the UD3H. These options are both the exact same price in my country. I also have a pretty strict budget as parts are very overpriced here in Australia. I will be using this PC for gaming, browsing, watching videos and streams (pretty casual use). Rest of build: NZXT Phantom 410 White CM Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler Plextor 128GB SSD 520/200 G.Skill 8GB Ripjaws C9 2133MHz DDR3 Seagate Barracuda 1TB Corsair HX650v2 650W Gold Semi-modular Gigabyte GTX770 OC Windforce Cooler Any advice is much appreciated, regarding the cpu+mobo or the rest of my build. Thanks
