  1. Personally I would rather just run a cable. There are several 50ft (or longer) HDMI cables out there that work great at 1080p. Just run it through a wall in the next room or something. IMO, streaming is just not nearly as enjoyable or worth it, especially if the only reason is to make things quite.
  2. Just wondering if prices will remain the same throughout the holidays
  3. I see I have just a half hour left of cyber monday, should I buy some parts or are these deals really not much better than future holiday sales?
  4. Is netflix over ethernet usually a better experience as opposed to over wifi? Or is it even noticeable
  5. Problem is I can never tell how bad a virus is until the scanner finds it.
  6. Awesome thanks. Theres no expiration for topics correct?
  7. As far as I'm aware there is no bootable malwarebytes, also thats an anti-malware and not an anti-virus
  8. How do I find specific topics that I've posted. I'd like to keep them for documentation. Do they eventually get deleted?
  9. Say I find out a computer has been infected with malware, and I want to clean it as fast as possible without any information to be sent out over the internet. Most people just go ahead and run their antivirus in Windows, all while connected to the internet, which means while the scan is running anything could send out information. So is there a safer way of doing this? I thought about kaspersky rescue disk, since in runs scans from linux, or is this only supposed to find malware that prevents startup? Also thought of the idea to just disconnect from the internet while running a scan. While the scan run the same way as long as my definitions are up to date? Thanks a ton for the help!
  10. I bought an ips lg monitor that comes with a feature called "1ms motion blur reduction". Also, in the settings theres a way you can change the "response time", from low, to medium, high, or off. What does this actually do? Does it really reduce the response time?
  11. About to go to Best Buy to compare teo monitors. Are there any uncompressed gameplay videos or screenshots I can use to compare the two?
  12. The H236HL BID is on sale for $99, which has great reviews, but the monitor is also a few years older. How often are monitors released? Is the H236HL BID still a good monitor?
  13. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-24-ips-led-fhd-freesync-monitor/5770302.p?skuId=5770302 I cant find any good reviews on this thing anywhere.. How can I tell?
  14. What do you mean by normal contrast? I suppose looking at the overall image quality as a whole would be a better idea. I don't see how I could really compare the two monitors without looking at them IRL. The reviews are good for both monitors, but non of them give a relative idea that allow me to compare the two. I bought the LG mainly cause it was 15hz faster and because the monitor is 3 years newer. If I figure the Acer is better looking I will return it and buy the Acer. Where should I get started on comparing the two as far as image quality?
  15. The LG 24MP59HT-P or the Acer H236HL BID? The LG's contrast ratio is specified as just "Mega", while the Acer's is specified as "100,000,000:1 dynamic". How do they compare?
