  1. GPU prices are dropping, what should I get for ultrawide 1440P 60hz gaming? 1070@379.99USD 1070ti@429.99USD 1080@449.99USD Honestly, I can afford the 1080, but that is if I squeeze every penny out of my wallet. I don't want to spend more than I have to, I am only playing games like Division, Gears of war, and forza on a 60hz panel. What do you guys think? Thanks everyone.

  3. but is the ram compatibility an issue?
  4. I have a few extra bucks to spend on my build, should I get the newer 2600 or 1700 for gaming and video editing? The 1700 has more threads and cores, but I've heard some people say that it doesn't have great ram compatibility. I've also seen a few benchmarks indicating different results. What do you guys think I should get?
  5. @OrbitalBuzzsaw is the 1700 much better than the newer 2600? and If I choose to go with the 1700, do I still need a b450 board or is b350 okay?

  12. Hello everyone! i am planing my first build but there are a few things that im not so sure about. I'm using a 1440p ultrawide 60hrz to play games like GTA5, Gears of War 4, forza 7, project car 2, Division, world of warship, and I also do some video editing Should I get a 1060 or 1070? Can I oc the 1060 and get close to 1070 performance? i don't want to wait for the 11 series bc the 1170 won't be announced till end of September. im thinking of getting 3000mhz 16gb ddr4 ram, can i overclock them? how much can I overclock? or should I just turn on the XMP profiles? I'm getting the Ryzen 5 2600 cpu, can I overclock it with the stock cooler? Thanks everyone!
  13. Im just browsing some US sites to check if I can get cheaper prices than what we have in Canada, but I dont see the tax being added on at the end of an order? whys that.......
  14. ok good, and do you think the stock cooler will be able to handle overclocking?
  15. But the asrock motherboard doesn't support overclocking right?
  16. last question, is it necessary to over clock the CPU?
  17. Also, can I use a micro ATX mini tower for my build? or do I hve to go with mid atx?
  18. how about the fractal design focus g? do i need to buy extra fans for that case? https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/ZHmxFT/fractal-design-focus-g-black-atx-mid-tower-case-fd-ca-focus-bk-w
  19. Ok thanks! But why that particular motherboard?
  20. So how much should I spend on the PSU?
  21. But do I need 1080 performance for 1440p ultrawide?
  22. Why the Asrock motherboard? and is 650W enough for my build?
  23. I will be buying parts for my first build(work+game) soon, I've settled on the 1070 but I heard people saying that the zotac 1070ti mini is a better choice. What do you guys think I should choose considering that the Ti mini is only $20 more than the 1070 here in Canada? I am using a 1440p ultrawide monitor, and playing games like GTA5, Division, Gears of War 4, Forza 7. Will the prices drop more as we get closer to the 11 series launch day?
