  1. Actually, I was thinking on Ryzen, but depending on what would be the prices of the motherboards, I would get the 3930k, because apparently, only the "enthusiast" motherboard has crossfire support. The intel i7 3930K, is just a plan b.
  2. Damn, calm down... you should read again my post, I clearly said i7 3930k, does it sound like Xeon??? What about 4 memory slots, this is standard. Alot of motherboards have "only" 4 slots for RAM, and I don't think it makes them "barebones". GIGABYTE, Asus and every other brands that makes motherboards makes also motherboards with 4 RAM slots.
  3. I know, but the last time I've ordered from USA, I had to pay customs, and it was about 60$
  4. I have not found any cheap used boards on eBay here in Canada...
  5. I found online some pretty cheap i7 3930k. Although, the x79 motherboards are really expensive. I found on Aliexpress some cheap generic x79 motherboards, and I'm worried if they are safe to use and last long (2-4 years). I'm using a crossfire setup. https://tinyurl.com/znkebna https://tinyurl.com/hw9jzuq
  6. I don't mean they are locked I mean I lock the game at 60fps per example because the gpu won't be able to play 144fps
  7. I was wondering if 60 fps games would look exactly like 60 fps looks on 60 hz monitors when using a 144hz monitor. I have seen other sites mentioning that you would see a little bit of ghosting and the highest sweetspot excluding 144hz would be 72hz. I would be using my monitor mainly for gaming and most of the games at 144hz but games demanding like fallout 4, rise of the tomb raider and others at 72hz. My other question is that when you play alot of 144hz will 72hz feel choppy?
  8. Is this bridge legit? https://www.amazon.ca/CrossFire-Electronic-Bridge-Computer-Connecctor/dp/B0183P1ZUM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1461894077&sr=8-1&keywords=crossfire+bridge
  9. So I can crossfire my card with r7 370 and which cards?
  10. Hello everyone, This is the first time I using LTT forums and I have a question about crossfiring my R7 265. I would like to know if I could crossfire my card with R7 370 and if yes if I need a bridge. The reason why I'm asking this, is because the R7 265 is actually pricier than the R7 370 even used. Thank you and have a great day.
  11. First of all, I would really like to get the keyboard for a lot of reasons. Firstly because I'm actually using a very old 5$ keyboard open-box. My gaming pc is a decent 1080p rig that doesn't deserve to get actioned by a 5$ keyboard. I have seen a lot of videos from LinusTechTips and I really enjoy them because they are sometimes funny, they learn me a lot about computers, especially with the video of the 7 gamers 1 cpu (simply amazing). Good luck everyone and have an awesome day!
