I'm not certain. I know the strip in the end piece can be swapped out (the terminal shroud cannot be). I'll try to find out if we have plans to include D-RGB strips or something with it.
I hope you did not cancel your plans on a monoblock for the XI Hero

I'm not 100% sure yet. I believe the lighting can be kept. The monoblock should be an interchangeable design to where you can use single color or d-rgb from what I've been told.
No plans mentioned for an X Flow though I wish we'd add it
Ok Yeah X-Flow would be nice
Do you know if there will be a D-RGB version of the Vector GPU block?

Don't forget the GPU backplate if you're not using the stock one. Otherwise, it looks good!
As a side note, we'll be launching the Maximus XI Hero monoblock in February, though I'm not 100% certain on the date.
Hi,
thanks for your reply. I will not forget the backplate I just ordered the Velocity D-RGB Is it possible to keep the motherboard lighting that covers the I/O panel or do I have to remove that when using the monoblock? And is the monoblock a D-RGB?
Do you plan releasing an X-Flow Rad in the near future btw?

Looks good. Do you have something to cut the tubes with and are you going to bend them or just do straight connections?
Nothing yet. I am buying the EK DIY Kit. Do you have any recommendations for cutting and bending? Don't want to use angled fittings to be honest.

am I allowed to ask about that motherboard?
I know it's a bit off topic, but why would you use that one?
FYI
I followed these steps:
1. Asus Board
2. WiFi
3. Not more than $350
So I decided between Strix 390-E and the Hero. Preferred look of the Hero

No fittings?
Looks good from what I can see otherwise though.

Hello guys,
as I am pretty new to water cooling I wanted to ask if you can check my selected parts.
The PC has the following specs:
Phanteks Evolv X
Asus Maximus Hero Xi (WiFi)
i7 9700K
RTX 2080ti
1000 Watt beQuiet PSU
As I made good experiences with EK WB I wanted to stick with them for the most parts. If there is a better solution for any part, I'd like to here your recommendation.

Hello,
I just installed a WD Black NVMe SSD on an ASUS Z170-A. There is nothing else connected to any SATA port. Unfortunately the the SSD is not shown and I can not install windows on it. Do you have any idea what's wrong? CPU is a i5-6600 and the GPU a ASUS ROG Strip 970. BIOS Ver. 0604.
Thanks for your help!

So basically I know as much as from the beginning. I'll go with an Asus board. No clue about the CPU though. Why should the supported amount of PCIe lanes be irrelevant? How many lanes are needed for a GPU?

I found this on the Intel site, that is why I was wondering:
- PCI Express Configurations ‡Up to 1x16, 2x8, 1x8+2x4
- Max # of PCI Express Lanes16
-
Ok. The i7 8700k has 16 PCIe lanes. If I go with a WiFi board I will loose 4 lanes due to the WiFi model (which also blocks one m2 slot) and 4 for a m2 SSD? So I only got 8 left for GPU?

Do the motherboards have comparable overclocking possibilities?

Hello,
I am looking for a gaming CPU to run with a water-cooled RTX 2080 Ti including a new motherboard of course. I have been looking at the Ryzen 2 2700X and the Intel Core i7 8700k as well as the 9700k. For the 9700K Intel removed HT, is this a big deal?
Motherboard-wise I want to stick with Asus and go with something like a ROG Strix or a ROG Maximus (Crosshair). Which one would you recommand? The Maximus Hero has a price difference of 70€ for the AMD and a bit more than 100€ for the Intel one compared to the Strix. Is it worth the extra money?

Wall mount is a good idea. Thanks.

Hello,
I am looking for a table stand for my 24" monitor. My table has a depth of 1 meter and I am sitting really close to the monitor so the stand has to be long enough. Can you recommend me any? I don't want to pay much more than 60$.
thanks

Hello guys,
I am looking for a new power supply for my new build.
It will be placed in a S340 Elite and has to power:
GTX 1060 6GB
i5 7600K (will be OCed) with a NZXT Kraken X62
16GB of Ram
and 4 SSds
I want the PSU to fit my black and white build, so it would be cool if you could recommend me some cable extensions as well.
Thanks for your help

Motherboard leds stay on
in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Posted
Hello,
I need some help with my motherboard, the Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero. After shutting down the pc, the motherboard's led lighting stays on. I tried this solution: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?52422-HOW-TO-Turning-off-All-motherboar-lights-when-shut-down-Keep-ROG-LED-when-PC-is-on. But after I enabled it, my pc always takes two attempts to boot. Any solutions? The psu is a bequiet dark power pro 11.
Thanks for your help.
