  1. your way changing the directory in folder properties is a correct way. I don't know why it didn't work.
  2. mine is like \\Servername\location\folder
  3. not for network drives and I by my mistake looked into one... I corrected it.
  4. Hi i would think that this marker is not used ":" in the address just these"\". For example mine for a folder is : D:\Origin Games
  5. HI Did you download the tool that makes your USB device bootable media?
  6. Go to the site of the manufacturer of your MB and find the downloads. Then find a listing about drivers. or even better network drivers.
  7. Oh! cool then you can see the two steps. the icons should be like your pc to a house conected by a line and that house to and internet globe. Are both marked with a red "X" ? PS. been a long time since my last use of win7 might be a bit fussy on my memory of what you should see.
  8. !!!Warning it might get confusing !!! your router and windows can create a virtual network so you can share files to other devices if you set it up. In older versions of windows like 7 you could clearly see that your computer had to do two steps to connect to the internet. 1) to connect to your router ( or home network) 2) from your router to the outside. That's why i was curious. back in those days it meant that it was your routers fault and not a bad Ethernet jack
  9. Just a note here I had experienced that trouble of having the orange light come up but not the green. some times i found the problem being a bad DNS setting or a stuck NIC. The first issue was fix by choosing the defaults. The second did take a lot of restarts to fix after two clean installs of windows 10, and after ordering a new PCI NIC just decided to go "hey I'm back"...So have petience A question tho does your computer recognizes your home network?
  10. Just an update for the people talked with me. They were super helpful and the said that they are sending me replacements plus a Bit a lost a wile ago. Kudos to them for their fast and very very Good experience I had with their Support.
  11. yeah WD-40 and phones don't exactly mix up although oddly enough I was given a phone that was smelling like it and had some droplets inside but thankfully no oxidation (that would have been expensive to fix).
