  1. Then my pc is secured? I'm from the Philippines and I can assess that power here is somehow stable. Fluctuations do exist but kinda rare. Black out occurs due to strong typhoons. 220v 60Hz electric service here.
  2. Good day! I just bought a Seasonic M12II 620W 80 + Bronze Full Modular PSU and planning to pair it up with an AVR. But then I stumbled into this thread about AVRs and someone answered... "If your psu has full range ac input like 100v - 200v then an AVR is not that necessary." Is that true? Rechecked the specs and feats of my psu and it has full range ac input of 100v - 240v.
  3. Would that solve the issue about the short crackling/buzzing sound of my psu switch?
  4. Just to make sure that I turned on/off my pc completely.
  5. Good day everyone! I bought a Seasonic M12II 620W Evo 80+ Bronze Fully Modular PSU together with the other parts last week. I've noticed that sometimes (twice already) it makes a short (1-2 seconds) crackling/buzzing sound when I toggled on/off the psu switch. PC boots and loads windows 10 normally and does not produce any weird/annoying sounds while running. Haven't tried to stress test the whole unit yet and check if the crackling/buzzing sound will occur for a long period. I've read posts saying that it's coming from a relay in the psu and its normal. Others say it's coil whine or a symptom of a faulty psu. The sound just occurs when toggling the psu switch. PSU directly plugged into wall outlet but Im planning to buy an ups/avr this coming Saturday. Is it really normal? Thank you! 6. @flexluthor: Thanks! Question: Is it still "okay" to use Intel 4th Gen CPUs? I've read many positive reviews about i5 4690/K... Any builds using it that will suit my needs? Thanks in advance
  7. @3DGamerOnSteam: Yeah it's true... Plus the components are somehow limited too... Some shops have cheaper items, just have to find them here
  8. @3DGamerOnSteam: I'm not aware of the taxes but here's a sample link of a pricelist. http://www.pccorner.com.ph/pricelist.do?action=downloadpricelists @TacticalCuda: Thanks! @Jer45: Thanks!
  9. Hello! I want to build my own pc and it's my first time. I've been researching/studying for quite sometime. I want to learn more so I can plan better before purchasing the parts for my pc building purpose. Still undecided which components to use that's why I need some guidance and I think this is the right place for it. I'll check the availability of your suggested components. Thank you very much in advance .
