  1. Just ordered the T3U Plus since its cheap and the reviews seem good enough. Can always upgrade if it somehow ends up being terrible.
  2. So I recently moved and I don't have access to ethernet at the moment. Looking to buy a WiFi adapter for my PC. I think I need a USB adapter instead of PCIe because I don't have much space. After a quick google search I am thinking the ASUS USB-AC68 AC1900 is the best option. Budget is about 85 USD max, could maybe pay more if performance is a lot better. Main thing I am looking for is a stable connection for gaming. Range shouldn't really be an issue. Any better options or does anyone think I should try a PCIe card?
  3. I already sent the mobo in to Gigabyte once, they said they fixed something, had same problem when I got back so nothing to do now I guess, it’s out of warranty. It’s running now without turning off, but it won’t go to BIOS screen or anything
  4. I did that. It’s not stable on default settings. I might be screwed unless I get lucky.
  5. My pc isn’t stable without certain voltage settings set higher. I can’t even get to BIOS on default settings. It wasn’t stable on the settings I had it on either, now the settings are reset and it just bootloops. Can’t get to BIOS. It’s X99, I’ve heard of others having problems with memory stability on X99, and also specifically with my motherboard. So unless anybody has a way to change the settings without getting into BIOS, I may as well get a new mobo/CPU. Only thing I can think of is maybe the dual bios thing has my settings saved?
  6. Anyhow, I figured out how to do it, the power button isn’t the issue. I’m almost sure it’s the mobo.
  7. Not a new PC btw: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/dkQ4Wb It turns on. GPU fans aren’t spinning, but I don’t think they usually do when it’s not hot. I have had instability issues in the past, this particular motherboard has known issues with higher speed memory IIRC. When I hold down the power button to turn it off, it turns off but immediately turns back on again. Any suggestions on troubleshooting? I tried turning on with only monitors plugged in, same problem still.
  8. Try connecting it to a different audio port, I have the same problem with my mobo audio, but the headphones work in all other ports.

  10. The motherboard lights turn on? Do any fans start spinning? You wont have and output to the screen without a GPU.
  11. So I am moving and I am looking for the best router for no more than 125 USD. Our internet speed will be 100/100 Mbit/s and it is a fiber connection. The internet will be used for stuff like gaming, streaming and just regular browsing. We have 4 people in our household and on the network we will have about 4 smartphones, 3 laptops, 1 tablet, and 2 desktop PCs connected to ethernet. Feel free to leave any suggestions, and a reasoning why would be appreciated.
  12. msconfig>Boot>Advanced Options...> Make sure Maximum memory and Number of processors are unchecked.
  13. Temps will limit you before vcore does. Your current overclock is good, you might be able to get 4.7, although it might need a lot of vcore. You can also try changing the CPU VRIN Override voltage to around 1.95-2, it could improve stability and allow you to hit 4.7, without increasing vcore.
  14. I would keep the CPU you have selected, or go for Ryzen 5 or better.
  15. That CPU isn't much cheaper. I would stick with at least a 4 core with hyper-threading. Kabylake i5s are often pinned at 90-100 CPU utilization in games.
  16. I would say 2nd option, since it has a better GPU. The CPUs perform about the same. The i5 has slightly higher IPC, but you can overclock the Ryzen to make up for that. Do you already have a case and power supply? You didn't list those in the builds.
  17. I'd like to see this too. My liked videos playlist has been full for at least a year now. (5000 videos) I've watched a lot of videos since.

  19. They didn't specify that I needed the original packaging. Its Gigabyte by the way.
  20. LGA I believe, I have the socket cover, need to get an anti-static bag.
  21. Title gets the point across. I don't have the original packaging by the way.
