  1. Hello all, I'm in the market for a new headset to replace my old Corsair Vengeance 2100 headset. I have taken an interest in the Urbanite XL Wireless headset from Sennheiser, however I am concerned about the quality of the mic. A buddy of mine has this headset, however it sounds completely horrible when using the built-in mic for Discord and Skype. It sounds almost as if he's talking through a can. He believes it's due to unsupported codecs over bluetooth on the mobo. So I guess my question would be, is this a valid concern or could there be an underlying issue that is causing it? Is the mic quality just bad or is it really due to unsupported codecs over bluetooth? What is the general consensus of opinions for those who either have used this headset or own a pair personally? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Thanks for the reply, but it doesn't look like they're wireless. Currently, I'm using the Corsair Vengeance 2100 for my PC and the Sennheiser Game Zero for my Xbox. The Vengeance is a decent headset, but it's uncomfortable due to it being heavy and the battery doesn't last as long as it used to. I'm really looking for a headset similar to the Game Zero, since it's a lot more comfortable. However, I've been unsuccessful in finding a similar model from Sennheiser. In essence I'm looking for: - 7.1 surround sound - Lift-to-mute mic - Wireless - Comfortable - Reliable
  3. I'm due for a new headset and looking for some recommendations. I'm looking for something similar to the Sennheiser Game Zero, but wireless. Price isn't an issue, as long as they don't exceed $300. Thanks in advance.
  4. Hey, Just updating you on this issue. I was able to resolve it by updating straight to the Anniversary Edition. Thank you for your assistance!
  5. Thank you for your reply. I purchased Windows 10 on USB from B&H Photo. This is a fresh installation on a new PC I've finished building. My only thought is that since it's an older build of Windows, it's not pulling a year's worth of updates all in one go. I'll try what you suggested and come back with the results. Also - MS is Microsoft. Sorry, I get lazy sometimes lol.
  6. Hello, I'm running into some issues getting the drivers for the 1080 to install on a new build. During installation it says "The Nvidia graphic driver is not compatible with this version of Windows". To attempt resolution towards this, I tried an older driver (first release) and it still yielded the same results. Looking online, I found that I needed the 1511 build version of Windows. I found the update on MS's website (since Windows continually assured me it was up-to-date) and attempted to install it, but now I'm receiving an error message that says "The update is not applicable to your computer". I'm unsure as to what can be done at this point. I've never ran into a brick wall this large while installing drivers before. I hope someone will be able to point me in the right direction towards a resolution. Specifications: OS: Windows 10 64-bit (Build 10240) Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 1080 (STRIX) Thanks in advanced.
  7. Hello, I am considering painting the lid of my laptop (ASUS G750JW), which has a matte finish to it. I'm wondering if there are any special requirements before painting (e.g. grit of sandpaper or any special conditioners). I intend to use car paint for this project. Thanks in advanced!

  9. Thanks for your reply. I've been doing a little bit of research prior to creating this thread and I'm mostly referring to this thread: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/60684-hardline-workshop/ The steps shown in that thread to create the tubing for such a setup is what kind of caused me to step back and reconsider it verses a pre-built water coolings ystem from a company such as Corsair (which is what my current desktop utilizes). Idealy, I'm wanting a watercooling system similar to the one shown in this photo:
  10. This was advertised as a hardline kit, so my apologies if the terms got mixed up. I will look into starting one from scratch. I don't exactly fancy the idea of having to create the parts from scratch due to time restraints. Thanks for everyones input thus far.
  11. Hello, I'm looking to watercool my next build via hardline. I have been looking at kits rather than building one from scratch and would like the community's opinion on a specific kit I had found. Link: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-kit-x360 Also - Would it be best to go with a kit or is building one from scratch the way to go? Thanks in advanced. Edit - Title needs to be "Opinions"
