  1. Okay, conclusion time. I have absolutely ZERO idea what happened But its fixed now... O_O Retracing my steps, only three days have passed. I can guarantee myself that on day 1 and 2 this problem persisted. So I gave up on it at that time. In the meantime I have: I) Replaced a O-ring in one of my fittings II) Installed the rest of my software on my pc, none of which is related with my Ethernet adapters: (Steam, Origin, GOG, Battle.net, Rockstar Launcher, Minecraft, Discord, Firefox, WinRAR) III) Reset my PC numerous times IV) Installed and UN-installed the drivers for the NIC (Even though, I have already done this before on day 2) V) Windows (most likely) updated itself in the background But after just using my PC normally without going back to troubleshoot until now, I am now using the full one gigabit bandwidth of my NIC... Out of everything I have troubleshooted, this was one of the most weirdest conclusions that I have came up with. Thank you all for the trouble!
  2. Absolutely! The main Ethernet port on my motherboard is attached to my switch, which is attached to the home network, a /24 (255:255:255:0) network while the second NIC is directly attached to a backup pc which is on its own /16 network (255:255:0:0) The prefix for my /24 subnet is 192.168 The prefix for my /16 subnet is 169
  3. OMG this is day 2 of my troubleshoot. Why cant everything just work, there has to be that one issue among everything I have a suspicion that that would solve it, or at least would diagnose that its probably the OS. To be very honest, I don't know if I want to prepare an operating system and reboot to troubleshoot so I'm going to try a couple more things before I do. I think ill try moving around the NIC onto another PCI slot and I might connect either NIC to another pc, with a older UN-updated copy of windows to see if the issue persists Thanks so much for contributing!
  4. To further aid in this issue I initially believed this "capping" is somewhat related to a QoS issue, so I have attempted to disable it. = No luck Perhaps I could alleviate this cap by forcing my NIC to be full duplex / 1Gb/s and also enable "Large Send Offload v2" in the properties menu of my network adapter. = Nope Disable windows auto-tune through command prompt? = Noda Update my drivers? = No dice Re-seat both of my NICs on either pc? = Haha no I swear Microsoft baked some form of change into the latest update in the OS, and I am just unaware for what that change is which is causing my local file transfers to be so slow in a arbitrary speed.
  5. At one end I have a Sata SSD, while on my pc I have a NVMe SSD, I did believe for a second that perhaps this write speed was temporary, or because of the files that I was moving, however, as a test I have reccorded a 4GB video of my desktop and have attempted to move that between my pcs where it still maxes out at 20MB/s I just realized that I was really vague with my post. I can confirm that prior to reinstalling my operating system, I was able to achieve a transfer speed of ~80MB/s with the same exact setup Just to see if it would make any difference, I'll try to replace the cable
  6. If the PC is shutting off directly after booting up, is it being grounded / shorted?
  7. Hello! I would like to reach out to you guys about a really peculiar issue that I have just recently encountered. So, I have an Aorus Gaming 5 motherboard from gigabyte that is already equipped with a single gigabit Ethernet port. On the same motherboard, I also have a PCI 1x gigabit Ethernet NIC. The issue is that, in total if I were to transfer data from two completely different sources (lets say, one port is connected to my switch, and the other port is directly connected to some offline NAS) then I should be able to perform both transfers under 1Gb/s or around 80-125MB/s. However, I'm beginning to notice that, seemingly out of nowhere, my Ethernet NIC is "capping" itself around 20MB/s or around 160Mb/s whenever I am trying to move files to another pc directly. I would like to ask if anyone else is experiencing the same issue, and if anyone knows the solution to get my bandwidth back...
  8. Hello! I was wondering if anyone else here is a owner of the MSI-GS63 I wish to ask for anyone else who owns this laptop if they receive a BSOD with the current Nvidia driver, usually after waking from sleep mode BSOD message: System thread exception not handled nvlddmkm.sys (Nvidia driver) Thanks!
  9. Lol.....Amazon pricing SSDs at $420....way to go Amazon! + Samsung!
  10. Instantaneously off my head I immediately recommend the Nvidia GTX 1080, probably in a dual / tri (Id say dual) SLI configuration, Intel Core i7 6th generation (Probably something along the lines of i7 6700 / 6700k) Easily 16GB + RAM (~2400MHz +) with at least 1 SSD for storage and one for boot just in case you wanna do heavy multitasking / want to defend against errors in your OS (spaces, depends on your use) all under a supplemental power supply (800 Watt +) That with that awesome budget id say aim for although for the rest: - Motherboard....I actually dunno what can support those parts with price to actual use ratio - Case, go nuts but also depends on your motherboard size / parts your gonna place inside (Full size, half size, mini etc) - Misc items (Ethernet only, or add in a WiFi antenna, numerous / not so numerous ports attached to your PC - also matters on case / motherboard) But at the end, with 5K personally id say your basically fit to do almost any configuration!
  11. ....I mean...with $5k USD you can afford a server
  12. Currently, as my common/work keyboard I am using a Logitech MX 5500. Even though at the time (~4 years ago) this was a great keyboard, I am thinking this keyboard is dying... not only is this a wireless keyboard using the 2.4 GHz band and the fact I'm sitting directly under a router, I'm noticing that its starting to input missing / incorrect strokes under heavy load such as when using hotkeys in gaming. After practically stomping on this keyboard with years of gaming (figurative...I did not actually stomp on this keyboard) Its taking its final breath of life....
  13. The stress I had while this test was undergoing 0__0 I just BRUSHED the "Ready" mark.... The only thought is..If the GTX 970 is considered "minimum" what will future games demand?
  14. To the first sir I have finished the code of conduct! ......Whoa... I do not EVER see myself doing such acts, Hello to the many friendly peeps ...So....This is what a forum is? A area where you may post information and have it reviewed / replied back information at the same hour unlike email/FAQs ....OMG WHY DIDNT I FIND THIS LONG AGO -,- Reading through other forums....I right now know I'M GOING TO LOVE THIS PLACE! ^-^ (>)> Hugs....I feel like I'm apart of peeps with a similar interest
