  4. Hi, so ive had the dell 15r 7537 (http://www.dell.com/uk/p/inspiron-15-7537/pd?oc=cn75317) for a while now. the specs: - i7-4500u - Gt750m 2gb - 1tb hdd - 8gb ram - windows 8.1 64bit - touchscreen and all the other unimportant stuff When I used to play games they would run fine, I could load them up just like that and my 750m would take it all. But when i tried recently, alll i am presented is a blank screen. I ma unable to click out or force close the screen as it alwasy stays on top. the only way to exit is to sign out and back in again. But when i force the game to run using intergrated graphics, it works!!! wihch makes me instantly assume that somethings up with my 750m. I uninstalled nvidia drivers and re installed them again, i tried an older driver from november and still no luck. I am just confused at this point in what to do. I tried searching online to see if anyone else has similar problems but couldnt find anything. Any help on what to do would be appreciated. Thank you. -Anubikai
  5. really.... how? also i cant load it with 2tb ssds as that would cost too much.....a standard 500gb should be enough for os whilst all the major file read/writes occur on the 2 2tb harddrives that are running in raid 0.... This is what im currently going for now.... http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2YwxA -Anubikai
  6. i dont think he needs super fast os load times the pc will be left on almost 24/7...also i needed a board that supported raid naively.... that board a cpu would work be cheaper, ill chang to that and also he also wants to run windows and use the computer for other stuff aswell like hosting emails. It will be an all in one server not just file hosting. -Anubikai
  7. HI, im making some server build for my friend and his budgets is £500 not £700....i dont know how to change the title...... I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions on what i should buy and build for him. The server will all be used for file hosting and emails...essentially a central hub to connect all his respective computers to so that he can access his files anywhere in the house from their desktop pc's and laptops. I live in the uk so all parts must be available here for their quoted price. heres what i came up with http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2Y1SI i would be running the 2 2tb harddrives in raid 0 with the OS running on te 500gb harddrive... -Anubikai

  12. Trust me, windows 7....im currently backing up my files to go o windows 7 from 8.1...windows 7 is practically OS perfection for me atm....ive never had any trouble with it...but as soon as i go to 8 or windows 8.1 my games start crashing....its your choice but i strongly vouch for 7 -Anubikai
  13. I built my pc, installed windows 7....my favouraite OS.....tried 8...wasnt bad, dont hate it worked reasonably well only noticeable improvement was boot time....same thing with 8.1....boot time is only thing you noticeably gain. im going back to windows 7 tommorow because guild wars 2 doesnt like it.. i miss windows 7.. -Anubikai
