  1. Note: I have some of the parts, please take note of that Current Plan: Planned use: Heavy to mildly modded gaming and everyday/school work Budget: less than $2,000 Cooling: 2x 120mm and 3x 140mm fans I wanted an opinion on the motherboard; I'm not sure what motherboard would be best for what I want to use the PC for. Opinions on other parts are welcome also.
  2. Which would have better audio quality; Logitech G510s (wired), motherboard I/O, or Front Panel audio? I have a nice pair of Beats that I would like to use with the best quality audio possible on my rig.
  3. What would you recommend then for a better cooler? I'm currently using the one out of the box
  4. I'm putting together a future and gradual upgrade plan for my PC. I was hoping to get constructive opinions on the list. If you could explain your reason for a part change, that would be appreciated. Parts list: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/NpnBLD Note: the only reason I have an old WD green HDD is because I'm currently using one for my current PC. I would need it for the data migration, so why not use it as a backup was my logic My current in case it has better parts or what not: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/WNWshq
  5. As some of you may or may not know Corsiar has an "Upgrade Kit" for their Dominator Platinium RAM series. I have two questions, 1) I know there are other 3rd party inserts for the light bar on the RAM modules, but is there a UV/Blacklight insert? I have spent e last hour looking for something like that 2) How does the that part of the module work? Is it color filtering? Or is it an actual light tube?
  6. Very right side of this photo.
  7. I know that. There are these 2 pin connectors form the front panel. Those control the fan LEDs via a button on top of case. I need to know what those are called.
  8. I most recently purchased a Storm Styker case from CM. I noticed the fen led headers. Does anyone know what those headers are called? I would like to use it for LED lighting in the case
  9. The keyboard would be nice. My Logitech G502 is starting to act up *sad face*. I won't mind trying the keyboard and give my review of it
  10. Ok. It doesn't make sense but ok then
  11. Usally those where reserved for 60mm or 80mm fans that would provide directed cooling. That's what is hard. They would have renamed it if it was intend to be a chassis fan
  12. Has anyone setup on of these up? I was looking into the power consumption of the fans that I would be plugging into the board. I saw on the motherboard a header for "asst_fan2" and "asst_fan1". question how do I instal a fan on asst_fan2? I have looked at the manual already and it only mentions the asst_fan1 installation but not the asst_fan2. I'm not looking for someone to help research this, if you own one and have set it up.
  13. Nothing (I have found) beats Asus build quality and performance
  14. I was wondering what the community thought of the Asus z170 Sabertooth S and the Asus z170 Deluxe? I'm debating which I should get in the future. I plan to use it for both gaming and casual school work
  15. Ok the cards I have are: GeForce 460, GeForce 480, Radeon HD4550 and Raadeon x300. The two GeForce cards I can't run atm and the X300 doesn't have a fan on heat sink.
