I would get the R5 1600 at the minimum of you want to stream and record at the same time.

Depending on the bit rate and CPU presets, streaming and recording at the same time can hammer my overclocked R7.

actually these 2 cpus are the only ones that have a difference in the ryzen lineup (when comparing same core/thread parts) they have different cache amounts that make the 1500x actually more worth it. while for all the others 1600 and 1700 etc they are just clock differences that an Overclock will inevitably out perform. so in this single case the 1500x is better to get for complex reason on why cache matters that are much too long to explain here. but the 1600 is also still a better buy

If at all possible get the r5 1600. The difference between it and a 1500x is quite large and the price difference is almost nonexistent.

Remember to update your AM4 BIOS. It will allow for better overclocking and will also improve system performance

The 1600 is MUCH worth it IMO, 6c12t compared to 4c8t
If you purely do gaming then an OCed 1200 will serve you well

IMO 1400 and 1500X not worth it, either go for 1200 or 1600

But if you really want to choose between 1400 and 1500X, I would take the 1400 and pair it with B350 to OC it (reach about the same performance with 1500X, 'X' CPUs doesn't have much OC headroom left)

Edit: If you want streaming, at least get the 1600

Different amounts of cache, just go for the 1400 or go up to the 1600.

Sad that the world's biggest issue is people getting offended over a word that is said on a live stream.

It doesn't become a simple discussion anymore when it gets all blown up by media and even on a tech forum it is posted. Not even defending him saying it was right or wrong, just find this pretty funny that people care. I'm not 'spending time' on it if I took 1 minute to reply to a thread on a forum I follow frequently.

Do people really care that its an extra $100 to get the best gaming, or hell most application performance since most apps are still lacking proper multi core support. It not like its breaking the bank for a decent FPS bump

Wolther got a reaction from LAwLz in Microsoft is apparently planning something called the "Game Monitor" for Windows 10 which could be their own system-wide anti-cheating software
... no, sounds terrible and I hope it never gains support. Cheating will always be a problem and will never entirely be fixed. On steam they have been developing anti-cheat for a decade and a half and they STILL cannot stop every alternative people take to cheat. There will always be a work around and giving up our privacy/control to windows (even more than we have) with no positive outcome is not something I want. Leave the anti-cheat to game devs, do not make it OS-based.

Anything that has "monitor" and Microsoft in the same topic I will stay away from.

(also, just realized every previous ver. of windows doesn't have "Game Monitor" so if not having it enabled prevents you from playing the game, wouldn't every ver. of windows before also prevent you from playing?)

I would assume it only covers UWP games from the Win store. and it also seems it would be upto the game dev to require it. so I feel like you can keep it off.
