Well, as the title reads, cable management.. Are you bothered?

Do you have to get the cable in just the right spot?

    Are you anal retentive?

Post your cable HEAVEN or your cable HELL.

I recently installed an SSD (finally) so I dusted off the internals, re-built and re-cable managed the system.

The lights aren't on here, but they're in there.

Pretty happy  with the back, looks kinda messy but everything is sorted.

Bit more work done tonight, got the letters stuck to the acrylic for the back drop, but can't attach the back drop to the partition wall until the LEDs arrive which appear to have been delayed :wall bash:
So all i got for the moment is an example of the routing from the res to the 240mm radiator, need to order more 90 degrees, compression and a couple of 45 degree fittings and the 16/10 primochill.

So today I got quite a bit of work done and I think it's finally starting to look like a modded pc rather than a small building site, as a plus note i think i've finished spray painting so that should please the wife!   So the partition is painted and fitted, but I'm waiting on the 5mm LED's to arrive before I fit the acrylic and the inside of the B,D and O's from the text. I also painted and added my 240mm radiator to lower of the case to fill the void that was left from moving the rad to the ceiling:       As I said I've also moved the other 360mm rad to the ceiling, if it was left in the lower section it would obscure half of the text on the partition wall. Now both 360mm rads are in the roof!     As i got the partition wall in I figured I may aswell go ahead and sort out the locations of the two EK Pump/Res combos. I de-pinned the PWM and Molex connectors and made small holes on top of the partition allowing the wires to be hidden. That involved dropping the bottom from one of the res's to switch the wires to the reverse side. Now its all done, and i really like the look so far. The fittings on the left side Res will be swapped to the white ones i detailed in my initial parts list once i win the lottery to pay for everything :roll eyes:

Today I got a couple of in house engineers to help with the partition. Hopefully have it end of this week/beginning of next week with the lettering machined out
I unboxed a few things and tried a preliminary fitting of the rads and fans and I think I'm quite happy, just gotta make sure it tallies up with the partition wall.

    I love these fans

Sponsored by:             So, turns out I really enjoyed modding my Antec 902, but annoyingly the way my living room is set out and the fact the window is on the right hand side of the case, no one can actually see the work I did without leaning over the side of the Sofa/Desk to able to view inside it     Step up the Thermaltake Core X9      Now Purchased       For this I will be gutting the main components out of my sig rig:    Intel i7 4790K  Asus Maximus VII Ranger  EVGA 970GTX SC ACX 2.0  SoundBlaster Z  Gskill Ripjaw X 4 x 4GB  Samsung XP941 256GB PCIE SSD  Corsair 620w  Asus ROG Front Panel    EK-DDC 3.2 PWM X-RES 140  Alphacool UT60 240mm radiator        For the moment everything is purely in planning phase, at this time I am considering the following:    Watercooling to be Pastel Red for CPU Loop and Pastel White for the GPU Loop    The following components form my "planned" watercooling shopping list:    Chipset waterblock for Motherboard - EK-MOSFET ASUS M7G - Acetal+Nickel http://www.ekwb.com/news/521/19/EK-i...-water-blocks/    CPU Waterblock - EK-Supremacy EVO - Nickel (CSQ) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-su...el-water-block    GPU Block - Bitspower VG-NGTX970ESACX Acrylic http://www.bitspower.com/html/produc...3453&kind2=109    360mm Radiator - Alphacool 35273 NexXxoS XT60 Radiator 360 White Edition x2 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/alphacool-nexxxos-ut60-full-copper-360mm-white-special-edition Purchased    Reservoir + Combo - EK-DDC 3.2 PWM X-RES 140, Water Cooling Pump (This matches the one I currently have) http://www.scan.co.uk/products/ek-dd...r-cooling-pump Purchased    Monsoon White Fittings - ModMyToys 19/13mm (ID 1/2 - 3/4) Compression Fitting - Six Pack - White + Red Carbon (For the white loop) http://www.watercoolinguk.co.uk/p/Mo...bon_37248.html        Fans, open to advice here, I want 3x white LED for the white loop and 2x red for the red loop      White - Enermax T.B.Vegas 120mm Single Fan White LEDs - Purchased http://www.scan.co.uk/products/120mm...ister-bearings      Extras:    White caps - Monsoon x5 http://www.scan.co.uk/products/monso...lug-g1-4-white      Tubing - Primochill Advanced - Purchased http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...30&subcat=2579    Coolant - Mayhems Pastal Red http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1l-ma...el-red-coolant    Coolant - Mayhems Ice White http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1l-ma...-white-coolant    Fan Controller - BitFenix Recon - White http://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/accessories/recon/   Additional Comment:    been planning this a little more after i came up with an idea whilst playing Wildstar. Im thinking of a small section using some 3g fake grass with a small anime figurine inside the case using the 2x reservoirs as a back drop   http://www.artificial-grass-online.co.uk/thirsk-artific...    and something along the lines of
http://kotaku.com/5871156/the-tekken-figure-of-your-pin...   I've finally made my mind up on a few things, and whilst I don't have the Thermaltake case yet (delays from supplier) I have actually managed to get started.   I've decided to keep the RoG Front Base for the Asus Ranger Motherboard. Now as the case is going to be sprayed white, I figured I should make the front base as white as possible:     First thing I need to do was get the knob off (no puns!) what a pain in the rear this was, but eventually it came off allowing me to fully strip down the electrics from the case/cover:     Once that was stripped I went out and picked the brightest white I could find which is useable on both plastics and metal. Once the screen was masked up I got to work with the primer:           I've finished applying the top coat now, i'm going to let it dry over night, check for runs and hopefully remove the tape tomorrow evening, by which time I should know if the case is in stock at Scan   Got the RoG Front Base fully painted and re-assembled:         UPDATE   So today the Thermaltake case arrived and oh boy, its big!         I took a picture of it here on my desk in between an Antec 902 and a Zalman case, both are mid towers, but it does show the scale of the Core X9.     Heres a few pictures of the case before I stripped it down for painting:         Top view with cover removed and rad/fan mounts still fitted:     Motherboard tray:     PSU Area (one of two!)     Front lower and drive cages, I won't be using these in my mod unless I need 6TB in the future : )     And here is the stripped frame, when they said this was modular they weren't joking!       I have started painting the internal parts of the case and the front mesh, I really under estimated how much paint I would need to do this, however heres some progress:   Front fully painted     PSU Blank/Grill     selection of other parts:     well it's been a late one, just the 3 external panels remain to be sprayed    Transferred the 200mm Red Fan from my Antec 902 mod to use in the front of this one.     Here's some pics of things so far:
    UPDATE 15th Feb 2015
So I finally got around to finishing the painting today, I had the roof and side panel to paint and a few imperfections to address. So now I can say that the case is fully painted, now need to work out where I want to placed the 2x 360mm radiators and whether or not to go push or pull with the fans:

    Update #3

Taking awhile to paint because of the snow.

Started to add red to the pieces

Pieces that need to be painted white are in 1st and 2nd coat of primer.

The main frame still needs to get primed.  Going to do it once all the smaller pieces are done.
Probably not going to paint the pieces with the mesh since I do not want the paint clogging the ventilation.

Hi again folks its took a few weeks to get back with the 1st update as I have been busy with building some PCs for friends and some Clients but got a lot of pics and a you can now see how the loop will fit inside.

The 1st thing to be done was get the case powder coated grey and get the vinyls made so with the case being number 09 and the theme being based around the car I have used the 09 as part of a racing livery if you like.. I will be adding a few more not on this back panel just a few small ones here and there so here we are with some pics ..

    The Titan Black  with block

Just a quick tease if the paint color on the front Panel ..

Now Time for getting some stuff installed and plan the loop ...

And this is Dexter my new helper and mascot thanks to MSI

    The EK Vadar Fans installed

So to control the fans I am using this power distribution from mod my toys and dust has been removed bane of my life is dust also installed the pump/ res combo with the EK bracket.

With this being a sports car we did not need any extra weight that was not making it run cooler so I removed the HDD cage and put an extra 120mm rad in there

but I will have to swap them black extenders out for black nickel as they will niggle me even If I cannot see them I will know they are there :sigh:

held in with some Parvum cubes until I fabricate a plate for it

Made some new stickers for the Ram

So before I get to cutting and bending the loop this is about where we are at for now

I have decided to get some cables made by the master himself James from Pexon PCs as I have arthritis and the job takes so much time and pain it becomes impossible so I have to stick to fans and pumps and stuff that can be done in half hours for me  and I am also putting in a panel around the motherboard and this will be laser etched but more on that when its done as not a lot I can show you it will be black and red.

That is where I leave you again while I get to work on the tube by for now folks

Update # 13: Final Interior shots!

wow! the day has finally come... and none to soon at that! the build is actually due today and will be on display at the FITES 250 man lan event this weekend. a few times since i've been building have i sat back and thought, wow.. i cant believe it turned out this well . from an idea to design to building i knew it was going to turn out sweet but never this polished, never this clean.

I want to thank all of my sponsors for supporting me on this build, with out them this build wouldnt have been feasible. I also want to thank all of you for stopping in, asking questions, giving constructive criticism and all of you're kind words through out this build. it's very humbling that you all like the work i do :thumb:

The following shots are mainly focusing on the interior chambers, as soon as the led arrives i will take the exterior photos.

    please enjoy

Update # 12 : MEGA UPDATE , V1TECH, Sleeving Done, Tubing Done, hiccups and more!

ok everyone! i finally have time to update this build, and what an update it is!

first lets start with my sponsor V1TECH!

for those of you who dont know they make some pretty sweet back plates and can customize then to your needs! they also can do a lot of custom acrylic work. They also have a vinyl plotter that can cut you what every stickers you need..

    on to the photos!

the vinyl stickers came in a sweet envelope!

going the extra mile here, thanks guys :thumb:

    contents

the upper right sticker was designed to fit in the psu channel. so i cut some leather vinyl and installed

    apply sticker!!

    install psu

I also  tasked them to see what we can do about the pny not so theme fitting blue pcb. what they made me was a master piece!

    look for your self

leather vinyl makes a come back and imo makes the back plate! it looks so clean!

Thanks V1Tech for supplying some beautiful pieces!

ok next up are the cables! like almost all of my builds i like discarding the OEM cables and just custom making them for that tailored fit! theres just enough slack to easily install but not so much so that it bunches up. I used UPC supplies and their AEGIS sleeve

    24p

    8p cpu

    gpus

    sata

    rear view

    hdds

    front view

    i also bent the tubing...shinyyyyy

    next i mounted the radiator

    ekwb <3

    sleeved fans

    install 1

    install 2

    glamor

    mount the rad panel

    install pump and tubing!

during the final installation i noticed one of the headlight leds were burnt out =( i ordered one and it was supposed to be here today, but the mail never came (10" of snow today). grrr so once that comes ins. i have to sleeve it, install then i can can shoot the final outter shots!

tomorrow though i will post part 1 of the inner final photos!

thanks for sticking with me through this build! its been a good ride!

so first up i installed the RAM, CPU and CPU Block

the EK EVO is soo nice, and the precise mounting hardware makes installation easy and worry free

    love this shot

now i installed the rear pieces of the Parvum

here you can see the painted gpu brackets. Flat black to match the case

    rear shot of everything

    installed the psu

    MOAR Hdd goodness

the ssd also got some leather and audi treatment

all together! should have got a window on the back hmm

    thanks for checking in!

So a package arrived today.

It's my pleasure to present the design of ATLE.

At first I just had the urge to make the package explode and just rip the parts out,
but my adulthood ended up telling me to take it slow and document it!

    :naughty:

So finally I got it out of the "box" and here is what I found!

    At first the front.

Then the side panel (there is 2 of these)

Then we have the top panel and the backpanel.

All the panels except 1 side panel.

And in the end I tested some of the panels just by putting them against the skeleton, since I don't have the mounting mecanism yet.

So the end of the pictures.

So what do you guys think of it so far? I've been delayed and stuff but without taking that in consideration I think it's starting to take shape, well I have the outer shell complete now except for the windows that needs to be cut.

Hope you guys still think it's worth looking at, my photographer skills still aint that good.

    Installing the waterblocks
Here's the waterblock installing, as you might notice i did not install the monarch x4 block on the memory yet, i will do this in a later post, when i mount the blocked mobo into the case pics will follow!
Theese polished blocks just look so amazing ! cant wait to see it all with liquid in it ! <3 You might notice that after i blocked the pump and put on the nickel housing, I just HAD to sleeve those cables, i am NOT a fan of the original black, blue and yellow cables So i took my time and sleeved them in the colors i will be using in the build later on.
