  1. I have tried that along with one monitor into each card. No difference.
  2. Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get back over the 100fps. with the single monitor for game play and sli disabled I'm getting a max of 40-50fps. on ultra. I'm now used to 100+fps for a very smooth gameplay
  3. Hi everyone. I need some help/guidance on my situation. I have 2 780's in SLI that I have been previously using to run a triple 24" surround. I had to give up one of the screens for my wife's new computer so now I'm running only 2. I mostly play fps games but I noticed that since I disconnected the 3rd screen, the SLi has been disabled. I noticed this only after reviewing my Precision X log and saw that only GPU 1 was being used. the other was just sitting there. I'm now trying to setup the SLi where I have one primary monitor for BF4 and the 2nd monitor to show the battle screen. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but the Nvidia control panel doesn't let me hook it up this way. I have also tried to only have one monitor and then setup SLI which works but then when I add the 2nd monitor after powering down, the software recognizes the 2nd monitor and shuts it off. Very frustrating!! I hope that someone has some experience with this and can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance!!
  4. Hi all, I'm looking into getting info if a Celeron will be enough to output 4K video. I don't have any video yet but I'm building a HTPC and wondering if a Celeron with 4-8GB of ram using the onboard video will do the job. I have seen some NAS boxes that can do it using a Pentium processor (Dual core G3250) with 4GB Thanks in advance.
  5. absolutely incredible project! You should get into construction. You obviously have the knack for it. Well done so far. Wish I had a room like this. Can't wait to see the finished pics!!
  6. Thanks! I'll take a look. Hoping to get the projector pretty soon.
  7. Hi All, I'm looking to purchase a projector for a dedicated theatre room. I will NOT be watching TV on it - it is just for movies. I'm going to be projecting to a wall with the special paint you can get that gives the right surface. I have never had a projector before. I have done some research and I know that the higher the lumens, the better the picture quality. I'm going to be running this directly off my NAS (QNAP TS-451) which has an HDMI output. 1080p is the minimum. Don't know if 3D works well with projectors. I'm planning to scale the picture to around 100". 3d would be a good option for me for the future. I have done some digging around and it seems that Benq has quite a few nice units. I have also seen some of the Sony units but they seem really over-priced. I'm trying to keep it around $1000 for the projector alone with some room to move. I would love to get some guidance and advice on which units would be a good buy. I was considering this unit from BenQ on sale for $849 with 2 glasses: http://www.ncix.com/detail/benq-w1070-home-theatre-dlp-7a-100377-1561.htm This one from BenQ which is their short throw model but no glasses for $899 http://www.ncix.com/category/home-theater-projectors-c0-1227.htm I'm very curious about this one because it has 4000 lumens. Also a BenQ for $999: http://www.ncix.com/detail/benq-mh740-1920-x1080-3d-4e-95063-1537.htm Thanks in advance!
  8. well done on the build and the pics so far. I love how well you document your builds. I have followed all of them. Keep up the great work! I'm most curious to see the finishing pieces like the wiring and the watercooling stuff. I feel that is your forte - the biggest thing that differentiates you from others. can't wait. Popcorn is ready! Bring it on.
  9. any pics of the back cable management? Looks awesome so far.
  10. this is going to be nuts!! Can't wait to see the pics. I have 8.19 TB in my Raid5 pool and I'm having trouble filling it. Need more Pron then. LOLz. I can't imagine 151TB
  11. incredible!! Love the final outcome! You should sell these! I would love to have a Computer that looked this good.
  12. incredible! Your attention to detail so far is fantastic. Can't wait to see it done!!
  13. Great advice from @Modzy!! I personally have a 780 SLi with an sandwich rad setup in the bottom and a 360 on the top. Link to the pics in my sig. I'm running a parallel loop for my GPU's and the temps are within 5c of each other. System is overclocked and I have no issues. I'm running a single MCP655 pump on the number 4 setting and it keeps everything nice and cool. The rads I'm using: 1 - quad 480 (40mm)[bottom]; 1 - triple 360 (40mm) [bottom]; 1 - triple 360 (60mm) [top]
  14. PWM fan control does not work at ALL! I hate that. no matter what I have tried, its bunk. I also wish my wiring in the back of the rig was more organized.
  15. Stunning!! Do you have any pics of the back wiring? Pics are gorgeous!! I thought they were black & white pics till I noticed the small yellow sticker from the Swiftech cooler on top. I personally love cable combs and it would be the only thing I recommend. Well done!!
  16. Looks good so far! Can't wait to see the final pics
  17. Awesome! Love your case. Have you seen James Walt's build Parvum Warfare? He is a master with watercooling and does some insane builds. I believe he used your exact case. Looking forward to your final pics.
  18. that thing should be put up somewhere - not on the floor. Too nice of a rig to be on the floor. Well done!
  19. Looks to be an awesome rig in the works. If the 8GB cards are indeed around the corner, return the other ones and get those instead. I like the Air 540 but have you thought of a larger case? Case Labs or 900D? I have big hands and working on a watercooled rig in a smaller case was tough for me. I'm looking forward to your build log.
  20. looks awesome! Love that color!
