  1. We've gone through a battery of safety certifications and tests. I'm super not worried about this. Also my kids had plenty of plywood-based toys. A couple splinters came off here and there and it was okay. Again, not worried about this. Thanks so much for flagging this for us, though. We take the safety of our products EXTREMELY seriously, which is why this one has taken so long to bring to market.

@LinusTech Fluorinert coolant is mainly obsolet…

Ahah that thermal putty was awful tho...

    Great post thanks!
  4. Thanks, but we are primary sex characteristics-deep on the design of our fixed shaft drivers and making really good progress
  5. Sorry y'all... It's the first event in 4 years and there seems to be some pent-up demand... As some people already mentioned, many of the VIP tickets went to people who were supposed to have VIP experiences at LTX 2020 (RIP), and while we *could* have simply quadrupled our VIP tickets, it wouldn't be very VIP that way. We had to try to find a balance and this was the best we could do. Regardless of what kind of ticket you have I look forward to seeing you there
  6. We are using a third party plugin for reviews, I'm afraid and this functionality is not included with it. Coding our own reviews module from scratch is not in the cards at this time
  7. What you've done is fine. Just make sure it's not sticky anymore.
  8. You seem clever enough to know that personal experience anecdotal evidence isn't really relevant to a conversation about longevity. From working at NCIX I can tell you that A) fans do fail. If you don't think they do I have NO idea what to tell you, and B) Noctua's RMA rates (return rates) were a fraction of any competing brand. It's why we chose them to partner with for our fan/cooler co-branded products. Some people attach a value to reliability, and some don't, but the people who spend extra are not ignorant. They simply have different priorities than you do. I, for example, used to be 100% "build it cheap, fix it later", but now that I run a business and have kids and have a lot less time, I'm willing to spend extra to know that I (probably, nothing is guaranteed) won't have to touch it until I feel like it.
  9. What channels are you seeing this on? I believe we have midrolls enabled on Short Circuit and LMG Clips, but it shouldn't be active on LTT.
  10. There are a thousand different coatings for concrete. We are perfectly capable of reading an MSDS, cracking the bay doors, and putting in some box fans. Thanks for your concern though
  11. I will personally give you $10,000 if you can find our backpack or our screwdriver on aliexpress or some other direct from China marketplace. Now there's no excuse. Do it.
  12. We actually talk about this a fair bit on WAN show, but I recently realized we've never really done a dedicated LTT on the subject. I actually asked for this from the labs 2 weeks ago
  13. You don't need a warranty. You would take the money I send you and buy a completely different GPU with a new warranty.
  14. I'll buy it off you if it actually does this. Email me at linustechtips@gmail.com and I'll get my guys to do some due diligence and we'll take it off your hands with some extra so you can pick up something non ES.
  15. They won't. Gaming is STILL among the best bang for the buck forms of entertainment on the planet. Playing badminton costs $25/hr for court rental plus on average another 25 bucks an hour of shuttles. Even split 4 ways that's really expensive and it's nothing compared to many hobbies... Gaming on the other hand is pay once (or never with F2P) and enjoy forever. The ceiling may be higher yet...
  16. I actually have no idea if we have any active development going into new featurea for the forum. I know we are maintaining it, and our team of volunteers is amazing, but it's truthfully just not a money maker and the subscriptions barely scratched the surface of what it cost us to run anyway... I just think it's important to keep it going. I'll check in with Luke about your question tho.
  17. Correct. I would recommend finding a board with DP input on the back to inject your dGPU DP signal into the TB connection.
  18. On desktop refreshing the pixels faster isn't going to have the kind of ecological impact that you think. More is actually better in this case (overdrive is something else entirely), just not by much.
  19. Good post. I'm on my phone, so can't type much, but yes the Io is pretty annoying. I remmeber shooting something about it..... It may have gotten cut. I didn't see the final edit. As for the refresh rate comment, above 240Hz *IS* kinda irrelevant other than being cool, but it was a valid point for the corsair monitor because it's true. No part of that monitor is absolute top of the line other than its flexible display. I didn't say it made it a bad product. It's just $2k which normally means "best of the best" in some way.
