Will you please provide any benchmarks score to prove that?

For 2.5 inch SATA- Samsung 860 EVO
For m.2 SATA- Samsung 860 EVO
For NVME- Samsung 960 Evo
Capacities depend on your need

like i said, you will likely never use Optane.
no one knows what the price will be. If you shop like that, you'll never buy anything.
buy what you believe you will actually use.

nonono reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Do I need premium cables?
Nope. They just carry a digital signal (though some versions of DVI can carry analogue), so for the most part they either work or they don't. At most, premium cables may gives you some extra protection against cats if they try to chew through some sleeving or something. In terms of picture quality and performance, it makes no difference.

nonono reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Do I need premium cables?
Same thing, more or less. The cable that came with the PS4 Pro that I bought is certainly not "Monster cable" quality. It literally looks like something you can buy off Monoprice for $2. But it does 4K HDR 60Hz just fine.
You don't need to buy super high-end cables. Especially for digital signals. For the most part, as long as the cable run is 6 feet or under, most cables will work fine.

I work in a retail computer store, and im gonna be 100 percent and say all the "premium" cables are bullshit. just buy whatever is cheap.

Nope. As long as it has 7 pins you're fine.
Heh heh... Funny you should ask...

nonono reacted to Drak3 in i5 7600k or a i7 6700k for a gaming build ?
The only i7's that could be argued as being primarily for rendering are the 6, 8, and 10 core Core i7 Extreme Edition processors on X99.
As it stands, the i5 is fine for nearly all gaming so long as one isn't trying to max out the newest games with a GTX 1070/1080. That isn't exactly encouraging, as games become more demanding of CPU resources (especially under Vulkan and Dx12), meaning the i5's can easily be bottlenecks in the next few years. The mainstream quadcore i7's would go longer without needing a replacement, and there are improvements in existing games like GTA V.
With the respective stock clocks, and the potential overclocks we've seen so far (not that much in the way of real stability testing has been done so far), there is little reason to pick the 7600K over the 6700K if they're close in price.

Go to the mobo manufacturer's site and look for mobo's that have the correct socket for the cpu you want. this will narrow down your choices.
Example:
At Asus, if you want to use the i7 7700K you select socket 1151 and you'll get a list of compatible motherboards. I had to do a lot of homework to decide on what cpu and then the motherboard that would work with what I had in mind. For me I wanted the i7 7700K and the motherboard had to support at least 2 m.2 NVMe SSDs in Raid 0. I don't want to use HDDs moving forward.
I looked at other processors but I can't take advantage of more than 2 cores with the software I use for developing (SQL Server, Visual Studio etc.)
It's all about what you want and what your wallet says you can have.

nonono reacted to typographie in HOW MUCH CAPACITY IN GB DID GRAPHICS MEMORY G4600 HAS
Having faster memory does somewhat help integrated graphics solutions, but we're talking a couple of frames per second, sometimes. Memory capacity doesn't really matter unless the game you're playing will actually use it.
It's already been said, but no matter what RAM you have installed, the G4600's integrated GPU cannot compete with even a cheap current discrete GPU, let alone a high-end one like a GTX 980 Ti. They are a universe apart.
Intel HD 630 graphics likely compares against something like the GTS 250, a midrange GPU from about 2009.
This is a bit rough and simplistic, but it may help you get a sense of perspective:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html
(HD 630 doesn't appear on that list, but I'm sure it's extremely close to HD 530)

nonono reacted to NumLock21 in Confusion between processor PCI lanes and motherboard PCI lanes
The chart above only applies when you set your SATA controller in ACHI Title for the charts tells you the physical M.2 connector you're using Left side of chart, tells you the type of M.2 SSD you're using, that's SATA SSD, PCIe x4 SSD, or PCIe x2 SSD. Knowing what type of SSD you had buy, look at the chart on the left and then the right side tells you which SATA ports will work or not. For example. you went out and got yourself a Samsung 960 Evo. Samsung 960 Evo is a pcie M.2 SSD that runs at PCIe x4. So when you install it, into M.2 label M2D_32G M.2 Connector, looking at the "PCIe x4 SSD", SATA Ports 0 to 3, will not work, Only SATA ports 4 and 5 will work.
Using the same as above, this only applies when you have set your SATA controller into RAID.

nonono reacted to NumLock21 in Confusion between processor PCI lanes and motherboard PCI lanes
Your CPU has 16 and your chipset has 20, in total there are 36 lanes no more or less. There is no 52 lanes
1x16 = This first slot uses all 16 lanes only from your cpu
1x8 = This slot share the 16 lanes from your CPU and uses 8 of them. When you plug a card into this slot, the first slot (1x16) will drop down and run at x8.
1x4 = This slot uses 4 lanes from your chipset
2x M.2 = This just the number of M.2 connectors you have on your board, and it says you have 2 of them, each uses 4 lanes from your chipset.
4x1 = your board has 4 PCIe x1 slot, each uses 1 lanes from your chipset
3x SATA Express port = number of physical sata express ports you have, each takes up 4 lanes, so that's 12 from the chipset.
When you plug in certain devices other parts will turn off due to lack of PCIe lanes available. You can't run all of them at the same time. In some cases, depending on the board, it might reduce the lanes for a certain devices like your M.2 running at x2 instead of x4. Gigabyte knows what they are doing so no matter what, your board will not exceed the 20 lanes limit.

nonono reacted to Misinthe in MORE MONEY ON MOTHERBOARD OR INTEL PROCESSOR
Like I said, just wait for Ryzen and save your money, then buy Skylake or Kaby Lake all together, either i5 6500 or i5 7500. For the motherboard, something I suggest is go for something you feel comfortable paying and has everything you need. If you are not overclocking, there's nothing much you gain from expensive motherboards. All they do is have better cooling, or better storage solutions, or WiFi. But there's cheap ones with WiFi and Bluetooth, if that's something you need. But go for H110 for now and save money.

nonono reacted to Misinthe in MORE MONEY ON MOTHERBOARD OR INTEL PROCESSOR
If you're going to get one part now and then wait for 3 months to buy the other. Then I would recommend this. Don't buy anything, put the money in a jar, start saving for the 3 months, come back in 3 months with all your money, Ryzen will be out, Kaby Lake will drop price as well as Skylake. So then, you can decide. If you're buying Skylake now and wait for 3 months for a mobo, better wait and buy Kaby Lake all together in 3 months. Or maybe Ryzen, if anything, at least I'm hoping Intel to drop prices with it.
