  1. temps seem good underload, I have installed new drivers etc. and as it's been happening for a few months it's been through quite a few. I haven't done a full DDU though so will try that. The strange artifacting on bios screen makes me think it wouldn't be drivers tho? possibly and gpu or mobo hardware issue? I've attached a photo of the artifacting.
  2. Hello, So i've had by 3070 FE for nearly 2 years now and in the past 6 months or so I've been having random crashes. The screen suddenly just goes but I can hear my game + discord for about 30/60 seconds before the pc just restarts which makes me think it's not a PSU issue otherwise I'd expect it to just fully shut off? (I have EVGA Supernova G2 650w). I've been away for a couple of weeks as well and when I came back I had these weird artefact lines on the bottom of my screen during mobo screen and windows boot up, disappeared about half way through boot up screen. (which is also now taking a considerably long time when it used to be just seconds). It feels like there could be a bunch of different reasons for these things happening, I feel like it's down to the GPU but if anyone could provide some help to troubleshoot this further it would be much appreciated?
  3. hello, so i was just using my computer as normal watching videos ect. then I hear a thump/pop sound from my subwoofer and then no audio from speakers. Red light is still turned on so speakers have power but no audio is playing. i have creative soundblasterX Kratos s3 speakers if thats any help. The thumping sound can also be heard whenever i plug the speakers powercable in but still no audio. Any suggestions or are they just done? Thanks
  4. Ah, so it would be in an enclosure, it's literally just an internal ssd with a wire that goes from usb 3.0 to sata
  5. So for a while I've used an old ssd with a USB 3.0 to sata cable and it's been really good with super solid speeds. However it's only 120gb and I need a bit more storage. Do you think it's better to get a 1tb external storage device like Samsung t5 for example. Or just get another internal ssd and use the sata cable. The speeds are already good enough for me and I'd save like £30+ using an internal one. But I'm not sure if there is any other factors I'm not taking into consideration. Thoughts?
  6. Hello, so I've had an old asus z270e + i5 6600k lying around for a while now and finally got round to selling it but when removing it around 10 months ago now I never reset the OC, do you think these OC settings would've cleared by now or am I going to have to pull out my current mobo and put the old one in to set it back to default? I've read that as my motherboard has been disconnect from the PSU for so long the battery button should've drained and that'll clear the settings, however I have no idea how credible this is? any help welcome, cheers.
  7. this isn't it as that doesnt exist, neither does cmd. However i have actually fixed it. It's set as a scheduled task so you have to locate it in there and delete it.
  8. i recently uninstalled the thermaltake riing software however this command still runs everytime i load up windows and i have no idea how to remove it, any suggestions?
  9. I've looked at student deals but they really don't give any benefit as Microsoft have a deal for surface and keyboard for £650 but they sell the device on its own without keyboard for like £700 it's pretty stupid. I'd only be looking at the m3 or i5 as that's bascially my price point. My coding is overly intense just c# programming using visual studio or xamarin
  10. Hey guys, After a long time carrying round my chunky t430s thinkpad its finally died on me and i need to get myself a new laptop. I mostly use it just for coding and general web browsing whilst at college or on the move. I've looked at Chromebooks but i don't feel they will cut it at the coding part and i don't need a another 15" chunky laptop to carry around so i've been looking at the surface range. One of my options is the surface Go with a pentium processor (:/ my thoughts exactly) and 8gb (which surprised me very much). It also includes it on graphics chip which look reasonably good and a 128gb SSD which is plenty of space as all of my documents are just coding based. The 2nd option would be a surface pro which presents another dilemma, the surface pro with an M3 or with an i5. The M3 only has 4gb of ram and the I5 has eight. the challenge is really trying to work out will the M3 be enough to handle coding or should i just fork out the extra £100 and get the i5 to (future proof ect.) Any help and suggestions is appreciated and I thank you in advance. Ben
  11. i was looking within the processes tab, my bad, ive changed it now. Thank you for your help

  13. the strange thing is if i turn off youtube my csgo cpu usage goes up to around 50-60%, but if turn youtube on it goes down to around 30-40% even though im still only using 80%
