I've personally used a Galaxy Note 8.0, iPad Pro 9.7, and SP3. The SP3 and iPad Pro are just so much better than the Note ever was and both are pretty good choices. I did prefer the iPad as there was less latency and because iOS is a much better touch OS, but the SP3 was still good nonetheless (and the SP4/SP5 have less latency).

He is not saying that his phone is literally from 9 years ago. He is saying that it performs like if it was 9 years old. 
 
 
 
OP I would try and get your S7 working again before going out and buying a brand new phone. The things you described could all be software related. Do a factory reset and don't install a bunch of apps ok it straight away. If the problem is gone then it's caused by either some bug that you happened to get, or it was caused by one of the apps you had installed. 

Try getting your S7 back up to snuff. It's not that old and it should still be a perfectly reliable phone.
 
If all else fails, get the Note8 on a deal. I wouldn't recommend buying one at full price but on a sweet deal, it's hard to pass up.
 
I own one and as Android phones go, this one is fantastic.

Go for that note 8 btw! its a great phone but s8+  is good as well so... dem looks maybe ur after for? the price? the feels?
Now... im not gonna talk about iphones solely because i hate apple , im an android famfan so if ur looking for an overly informative non-self-prospective opinion then you shouldnt take my word ( Although lets face it , apple SUX!)
 

There is an ancient Chinese saying " Pick your phone better than you pick your wife", and I truly believe it.  The Note 8 is an Amazing phone, If I had the slightest excuse to irresponsibly purchase it, I would.  (using a working S6 edge +).

 - update drivers and on there should be custom resolution tool, just put in 2560x1080 and cross your fingers

put 'em in a shoe box so they don't get dirty or knocked over by your child, wife, cat, dog, werehamster or whatever you have prancing around in your house. you can also add a 140mm fan to the box for good airflow

Doesn't the 570 beat the pants off the 1050 Ti? Some 1050 Tis also don't have power connectors either. 570s are way out of my price range and the demand is high because of miners. On ebay they're selling like hotcakes upwards of $300.
The 560 is a bit more beefy and has two fans compared to the single 1050 fan on the models I specified. I think the temps should be around the same due to 1050's efficiency. Only the higher end 1050s have two fans and a power connector but with the extra cost it's about the same as a cheap 1050 Ti without power. Also I don't feel confident with their power draw from the board. My puny 7570 is OC'd and I really push it in game settings, and temps never get more than 75 C. I imagine with these new cards they'd perform better than the 7570 in all aspects. The one with better performance and lasts long is what I'm really looking for.

The PSU is quite small... would reccoment for future that you get a higher Watt PSU because upgrades
