  1. The short distance is incredible for the screen size. Would love to experience the joy of such an impressive piece of tech.
  2. I had the problem on my Blackwidow last week and installed Synapse which didn't detect it. Brought in home from work and plugged it into another computer and it worked immediately. When I got back into work yesterday Synapse detected it and did a firmware update. I do have it plugged into different USB ports now though and uninstalled Synapse.
  3. Look into Acer's G227HQLbi (21.5) or G237HLbi (23) which are around $100-130 USD
  4. I would look at either the GTX 970 or R9 390, but the included 460W PSU raises some concerns.
  5. If my system was capable of pulling that much power I would need to size according to the power requirements of the hardware. PSU will not draw more than the other hardware needs. Example of LTT PSU power draw
  6. Sizing one is not too hard. My personal system has a 1000W PSU but I could easily get away with a 650W UPS. This is because my system doesn't come close to drawing the amount of power my PSU can provide. Though unless you live in an area where blackouts or brownouts are common then a really good surge protector should be good enough.
  7. I would recommend a clean non-cracked install using your key. If it doesn't activate still then try phone activation. Microsoft Instructions
  8. Contact the motherboard manufacturer since they need to match the I/O of the board.
  9. Highlighted in green is the labels on the motherboard directly.
  10. Depends on definition of breaking the bank. Dual Core Option: i3-4170 (3.7GHz) - ~$125 USD Quad Core Options: i5-4460 (3.2GHz) - ~$190 USD i5-4690K (3.5GHz) - ~$220 USD
  11. For those who don't know much or anything about Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV) it is a cross-platform MMO. PC, PS4, and PS3 users can all play together in a very story/lore heavy universe. Recently the first major expansion, Heavensward, was released which brought a new race, jobs, and content. There is a lot of things to explore and plenty of variety. I currently play on the Malboro server and am looking for players to join my Free Company (guild). We are very small (only 3 active people) but would love more! If you are looking at getting into the game you can play the demo which allows a character to reach level 20 (60 is current max). If you purchase the game you can continue from your demo character and we can get you a recruitment code, which comes with some bonus items (including a headpiece with 20% experience boost for classes under level 25). If you have any question about the game feel free to talk to me either here or in-game (Morwen Nuru or Morwen Ainatar)! Old Free Company group photo: Scholar/Healer with pet summoned (left), Summoner/DPS with pet summoned (middle, pet on right), Warrior/Tank...or DPS...(right).
  12. Mastercase 5 has all that without the dampening material, but you could certainly add some.
  13. 11736 problems communicating to the disk, a warning that says backup all data to prevent loss, and you are backing things up to it? It's not a matter of if the drive is running 24/7 or sitting in dry storage. You run a very high risk of data corruption just during the back up process.

  15. I would recommend Final Fantasy XIV, but that is obviously Asian-themed. I have played other MMOs (WoW, SWTOR, ESO, GW2, etc.) but I have found the extremely heavy story, challenging crafting/gathering, and overall experience of FFXIV to be the most enjoyable. Its pretty much the only thing I have been playing lately as I am in the same boat as you. New tech with nothing new to play on it. I have maybe spent 6-8 hours total on my XBO in the 9ish months I have owned it.
