  3. took me a minute to realize im being trolled lol
  4. thats why I came here, I am looking for somebody to recommend a SPECIFIC reputable brand of dust filters for 140mm psu please....
  5. ive been researching this stuff for 3 weeks now. havent played any games. somebody please just link me a filter that i should use. I have clicked on a hundred filters probably now, everytime i make a choice somebody tells me no
  6. I have asked COOLERMASTER for a replacement dust filter and they told me it's a legacy case and they do not carry any more spare parts for this case either. I am also interested in a permenant solution, rather than usings ladys socks
  7. i am basically trying to avoid this from happening at all, do you think buying this one in particular will cause any issues? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00ARB5E8A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 thanks for the help everyone.
  8. I have carpet, animals and people upstairs smoke. I need a dust filter, and yeah I mean I lost the filter for the case (cooolermaster) my bad. specs are i9 9900k, msi 2080ti trio, 32gb corsair vengence rgb, and 240mm h100i pro rgb. I have tested multiple games and the fan spins up a majority of time when under heavy load. either way I NEED a dust filter, can you recommend one to me or did you have a look at the one I have posted in my original post. does that one look any good?
  9. I am in need of a dust filter for my corsair rm850x (lost it) and was wondering if you guys could recommend me one that would fit and be good for a power supply? And one that won't choke my fans. I am basically just super worried I will buy one and it will increase my psu temp too high, heres one I was looking at via https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00ARB5E8A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 Which type of filter is best to use do you think... nylon or plastic? silvertek tells me nylon... but I don't know. I have looked online for a couple weeks at Amazon's products and reviews and people just seems to disagree with each other on every single filter I find... they often mention "CHOKES FANS" or "HOLES TOO BIG" i can't seem to find an in between and I don't know if demciflex is affordable for me. I thought of using panty hose and dryer sheets but I want a permenant solution. Asked corsair for a replacement and they told me it's a legacy case and they do not carry any more parts for this case either. so I thought I'd come and ask here. My case is the Masterbox 5 - black with meshflow front pannel, and here https://imgur.com/a/iwS6aiK is a photo of where the filter needs to fit. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, as I am not playing any games until I replace a dust filter. thankyou!
  10. it will just get dirty again if i buy a new one because i will smoke around my computer no matter what. this is a nonsensical solution. thankyou for trying i guess... still nobody has answered my original question IS IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DAMAGE IT BY SPRAYING IT WITH COMPRESSED AIR
  11. BUT ITS NOT DAMAGED?! LOL IM SO CONFUSED AT THE RESPONSE IM GETTING REPLACE IT? WHAT FOR ITS WORKING? ITS JUST DUSTY LMAOO, ALSO I ALREADY STATED I WILL NOT BE OPENING IT BRO...?????? ALL I WANTED TO KNOW IS IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DAMAGE IT BY SPRAYING IT WITH COMPRESSED AIR
  12. wtf lmao, do not tell me what to do who are you my daddy? I am required to smoke for medical reasons.
  13. Does weed smoke count? I take bong rips all the time around it. Also, why would I throw it away if its working fine? I do not have disposable income like that...
  14. So I've had this PSU for about 2 years and I've lost the dust filter on the bottom of my case that would normally stop the dust inside the PSU, and when it's getting pretty nasty but I am very nervous about cleaning it. even though I will not be opening the PSU itself The PSU is a EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ GOLD fully modular, is it possible for me to damage the PSU by dusting it off with compressed air? or any of the other parts when I plug it back in? For whatever reason I have this very irrational fear. Also what happens if I don't clean my psu? I have a 5 year warranty on this. The blades themself dont seem that dirty, just the grill. I have attatched a photo of the dust collected so far https://imgur.com/a/uir12AQ
  15. oh okay, i dont know anything about cpus... thankyou for easing my anxiety
  16. not throttling, performance is all fine... just noticed it in hwinfo after a play session wondering if its normal behaviour, average temps when under load are average 70 and rare low 80s. I am using hwinfo, intel xtu, msi afterburner and discord. My buddy was streaming cuphead to me through remote play... here is a photo of my hwinfo stats. I have high performance mode enabled also. i have heard that "Its normal for it do down clock to 800mhz at idle and very light loads, it ramps up accordingly as needed." not sure if this is still true, it was for the i7 4790k 4 years ago
  17. tarkov is a little unoptimized, look up some fps fix guide on youtube. I remember one of them had me delete my shader cache and that surprisingly helped
  18. CPU i9 9900k Motherboard Asus ROG Strix z390-h gaming RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 LED Desktop Memory, Black GPU GTX 2080 ti MSI Trio Case Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Mid-Tower Case Storage 500gb 960 evo, 2 tb Black SSD PSU EVGA 750W GOLD edition Cooler h100i 240mm rgb pro I was under the impression that its supposed to stay turbo'd at 4.7mhz all times when gaming. I was previously power limit throttling but not power limit throttling anymore after increased pl1 limit but i am edp limit throttling because I have pl2 set to 193A. Others tell me this is normal behaviour. Average idle temps are 35c average gaming temps are 65-75 spikes in mid 80s are rare. I literally wasnt able to catch it with my eyes watching the msi afterburner cpu clock speeds reported the while time i was gaming
  19. all my bios settings are default and they seem to just be causing issues for me, like for instance in the past i had thermal throttling and power limit throttling... is that normal? is my mobo just a cheapo?
  20. CPU i9 9900k Motherboard Asus ROG Strix z390-h gaming RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 LED Desktop Memory, Black GPU GTX 2080 ti MSI Trio Case Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Mid-Tower Case Storage 500gb 960 evo, 2 tb Black SSD PSU EVGA 750W GOLD edition Cooler h100i 240mm rgb pro I have had this pc for a couple years, had troubles in past with temperatures and thermal throttling, which was fixed at the time by increasing pl2 limit over 95w to like 115w. I stopped doing that awhile ago though. Today after cleaning out my computer with compressed air really well for once in awhile i decided to to run cinebench for my first time ever. I clicked the mutlicore test. After 10 seconds and i saw 100 degrees celcius almost instantly. My friends told me to quickly turn it off. I was told I should reapply thermal paste and reset bios and reset xmp. This has worried me because i am receiving conflicting information regarding cinebench. People say that if you cannot run cinebench without throttling you do not have adequite cooling. I have also been told that cinebench is not even remotely close to real world applications and doesnt reflect normal use. ``` I don't know what to believe or do, I am so dumb with computers in all honesty. I get really really overwealmed easily. Idle temps are fine 38c package, average for gaming is like 75c highest temperature i see on my 9900k when gaming ever was like high 80's during battlefield and red dead 2. Should I be worried? Is this VCore too high? Should I reapply my thermal paste? I have never overclocked my cpu only ever tried under volting with xtu.
  21. h100i 240mm rgb pro i believe, sometimes i see this temp spike to 85 degrees and also heres this
  22. CPU i9 9900k Motherboard Asus ROG Strix z390-h gaming RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16 LED Desktop Memory, Black GPU GTX 2080 ti MSI Trio Case Cooler Master Masterbox 5 Mid-Tower Case Storage 500gb 960 evo, 2 tb Black SSD PSU EVGA 750W GOLD edition this is after gaming for awhile on battlefront 2 and warzone. I am very unfamiliar with my bios so i was scared to try to fix anything but is this acceptable voltage and temps? sometimes the cpu will even throttle when playing red dead redemption 2. when this happens i undervolt my cpu in intel xtu, and increase pl1 and pl2 limits and that fixes it. but is there a way to do that in my bios?
  23. its either that or the gpu and the psu is most definitely expelling louder db, my question is what would be a considerable upgrade that perhaps wont make coil whine within 3.5 years of use, and that would be a great match with a 3080 if that does not exist that i guess I am SOL. either way, worth asking.
